The creaky Coupe - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By Stinky - March 9 - 7:06 pmThis is a follow-up to my previous submission. This model is in its infancy. I cannot speak for others, but mine is seriously lacking in structural rigidity. The Sun roof creaks at low speeds and on uneven pavement. It has noticeable flexion about its long axis. At speed on very smooth pavement it is fine. The front suspension doesnt match the rear at speed when pitching it around...it doesnt have the feeling of being engaged regardless of input. It has a rather squirmy feel to it on uneven pavement. The engine is in serious need of mid range torque and the gear ratios need to be rethought entirely. Not a bad boulevard cruiser as long as the pavement doesnt challenge its structure.

By ABQTones - January 26 - 12:50 amLove it! Its not perfect, BUT great torque and pick-up. Accelerates very quickly. With respect to driving experience, the only thing Ive noticed is that it can sometimes be a little slow to respond when coming out of a dead stop. Its like it takes an extra second or two before it realizes it needs to go and once that happens the car moves very quickly. Wish it were a little more responsive. Looks great, VERY sexy. Ive gotten compliments from co-workers and friends! (very cynical people)

Love it, but not unconditionally - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By curtis - October 14 - 11:00 pmLove the car overall but it does have limitations. Car handles and drives great and looks even better. Love the saddle leather interior though seats are very firm. Ride is a little rough, when coupled with road noise makes any trip over an hour tiresome with back/butt aches. GT was $27k out the door (incl the $500 military rebate), VERY well equipped for the price. Cockpit feel is great with everything within easy reach but has limited storage. Clutch is VERY hard to master- HATE IT! Very difficult to shift smoothly w/o skipping gears to improve smoothness(i.e. going 1-3-5 or 2-4-6 instead of 1,2,3,4...). Was a die-hard 6-spd guy, now Im cured. Nav is easy to use but screen is a tad bit small

By DaHazard - July 19 - 6:16 pmI have owned my new Genesis Coupe for just over a month now, and it turns heads! My co-workers and friends all want to know what its like to drive and are thrilled by its looks. Until last night I had only good things to say about it -- Apparently there was some road debris on the highway and some of it managed to find my right rear tire. I not only suffered a flat tire, but also a punctured rim, which makes me question the quality of the rims. Even the Service manager said he had never seen that before. So 33 days, and a $750 bill later, I hope I made the right choice by buying the Genesis Coupe...

By Vooch - March 20 - 11:43 pmThis is a great bargain of a car. I have yet to break it in but the V6 is strong. Ive driven front wheel drive cars for more than 10 years so its nice to get back into a rear wheel drive car. The driving dynamics are so much better. I have the Grand Touring and the ride is a good compromise. It doesnt beat you up but it handles great. I cant wait till gen 2.

What a car!! - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By Chess - January 25 - 9:03 amIve had my Genesis Coupe GT for only a week now but all I can say is "Wow, what a car!" After test driving a Camaro and then laughing at the salesman when he told me of the $3,ooo minimum mark up above sticker, I tried my luck on a Pontiac G8. Nothing doing there either. So I went across the highway to the Hyundai dealership to test drive the Genesis Coupe, and boy am I glad I did! The Gen Coupe handles amazingly on all types of roads. Ive already driven it on the interstate, local roads and hilly, winding roads as well. Power is abundant, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The suspension and cornering are sports car tight and it hugs the road like it is bonded to the pavement.

Not bad - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By 5000 - August 19 - 7:10 pmI just got my ride today 9-1-2009 and I drove it today about 60 miles and it was a different experience for me. I have a 07 BMW 335i twin turbo and that thing just makes anything out there seem pretty tame and lame. This car is not bad for $29,500 that I paid for it. I got it for 400 over invoice and I am sorry to see the BMW go. Now this Hyundai is a head turner and I have to until the 2011 535is come out with the new body style and engine. For the money the car is nice.

Great Car but with a few downsides - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By Eugene - January 22 - 2:03 pmI purchased my car in November 2009 and I can say that Hyundai makes great cars. But the main problems I have is that it has a bad rattling noise from the sunroof. I took my car to the dealership but they said they cannot hear the rattling. They said that the rain might have lubricated the sunroof and to bring the car in when it is not raining. Also, the transmission does not down shift smoothly. Other than that, I think the car is great and the styling is awesome. I get compliments from people all the time. The car feels like its worth $40,000 but I only paid $27,000 with a navigation. Unbelievable deal. To me, it looks better than the Infiniti G37.

Poor interior quality - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By chuck - January 8 - 10:00 amThe interior, door panels, arm rest, glove box door, leaves marks that can not be removed. The factory is looking in to this. It is a big factor and poor quality.
