Overview & Reviews
Hyundai decided to expand its product offerings in 2007 with the Entourage, its first-ever minivan, but the experiment was short-lived. Essentially a rebadged Kia Sedona, the Entourage was actually an impressive effort while it lasted. It had a smooth ride and strong acceleration, as well as outstanding crash-test scores and solid build quality. The Hyundai Entourage clearly had a lot to offer.
Still, Hyundai's first attempt in the minivan market bit the dust after just three years on the market, with poor sales performance being the primary culprit. As a pre-owned option, however, the Entourage is rather enticing. It's got most of the practicality and features of the big minivan names, and you'll probably be able to get a great deal on one. If it's maximum value you're after, a used example of the universally competent Hyundai Entourage won't steer you wrong.
Most Recent Hyundai Entourage
Produced from 2007 to 2009, the Hyundai Entourage minivan was mechanically related to the second-generation Kia Sedona. Power initially came from a 3.8-liter V6 rated at 242 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque, but 2008 saw an increase to 250 hp and 253 lb-ft. The three trim levels for '07 were base GLS, midrange SE and luxurious Limited; the SE was dropped for '08.
The GLS offered standard features like removable second-row captain's chairs and a 60/40-split, fold-flat third-row seat with in-floor storage. Also onboard were staples like tri-zone air-conditioning and a CD stereo (which included satellite radio and a USB jack for '09). Antilock brakes, stability control and a full complement of airbags were standard as well. The Limited offered heated power seats, leather upholstery, dual power-sliding doors, a power tailgate, automatic climate control and premium sound. A navigation system was unavailable, however.
The Entourage's interior was pleasant-looking, if a bit unremarkable. Materials quality was decent, but the cabin lacked the polish of some of the more expensive minivans. There was no shortage of legroom in all three rows, though families with teenagers may find rear headroom snug. The second-row seats were easily adjustable, allowing you to divvy up space as your needs dictate. But the third-row bench sat very close to the floor, and therefore wasn't a good fit for most adults.
In our reviews, the Hyundai Entourage scored high marks for its powerful V6 and comfortable ride. For everyday driving duties, the Entourage was one of the most pleasant entrants in this segment. In consumer reviews, the Entourage is typically praised for its versatile cabin and brisk acceleration. Given Hyundai's vastly improved reputation for reliability, we would recommend considering a used Entourage without hesitation.

Hyundai messed this one up!!! - 2007 Hyundai Entourage
By Mark N. - June 1 - 10:25 pmBought used in Dec. 06 with 11000 miles. It was Factory Reps vehicle. Was sold on Hyundai because of previous experience with Elantra and Sonata. This van has had 22 warranty claims since bought. The van is very competitive with Toyota and Honda in design and function just not in the owner satisfaction category. I feel that the biggest issue with this van in the dealerships service. Hyundai dealers remind me of the Domestic dealers from the past big on selling just not on service. You should not have to continuously take a vehicle in for the same issue and be told we dont know whats wrong with it sorry about your luck. They have fixed everything except the whine in right rear speaker.

Too Bad Hyundai Axed the Entourage - 2008 Hyundai Entourage
By clex2 - May 31 - 12:54 pmSo after almost 5 months of ownership, I can say that I am truly impressed with the Entourage. All the forum complaints on the power doors, wheel vibration, battery drain, and gas mileage have not been part of my experience. They van has been flawless since day one, except for a crooked Entourage emblem and broken conversation mirror, both of which were fixed under warranty. If they still made the Entourage, I would be recommending it to everyone. I guess the Kia Sedona is the equivalent, but from what Ive read, the Entourage is a little bit more upscale, although at a slight increase in cost. If you can still find one, I bet you can get a great deal on this great minivan.

BAD WARRANTY - 2008 Hyundai Entourage
By wizardsrepair - May 29 - 8:30 amI bought this vehicle in March of 2009 and in the first two weeks I noticed a discoloring in the headlight lens which I was told would not be replaced under the warranty and now I am sitting at two month mark and I am having problems with my drivers seat rocking and popping and now I am being told that yjis also will not be a warranty repair. Do NOT buy or patronize this Product - 2007 Hyundai Entourage
By Shana - May 27 - 12:22 pmIts not good to say that I was cheap because I just happen to get my moneys worth paying less which is 10,000 to 15,000 dollars compared to Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey. We bought and wasted 31,000 dollars for this PIECE OF JUNK. After sales service is WORST. They always advertise how great their warranty is, but, its just an advertisement. Auto sliding doors are always jammed. Instrumentation panel is not reliable. Cruise control does not work properly. Sharp edge on the steering wheel.

Do NOT BUY a Hyundai Entourage EVER - 2007 Hyundai Entourage
By skipper83 - May 13 - 11:13 amWe got our Entourage when it first came out cause we love hyundai cars, and needed a bigger family vehicle. We loved this vehicle until we started having major issues with it. We have already had to have the entire electrical system of the van replaced after only having it 11/2 yrs and it needs to be replaced again. Our power doors are a nightmare. They close then open right back up. When they actually do close the track keeps going even after the door is closed. When we pull on the door handles to open the doors they dont open. With in the last 9 months our van has been in the shop over 8 times, for the same things over and over again. Now i understand why you need the warranty they offer.
