QUALITY GOOD/MPG BAD - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By drew - March 10 - 8:29 pmIts a peppy fast little car for the size of the car and area that I live in which is nothing but steep hills. The car had 26,000 on it when I purchased it and I only put 10,000 on it since then and I did not need to repair anything for it so far. The gas mpg could be better, I drive in the city 99% of the time but I only average 20-22 mpg. When I drive the highway, the mirrors seem to roll down a bit causing air to seep in causing loud whistling noise

Awesome little car! - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By Shawna - December 27 - 5:47 pmI bought my car used in 2008 with 35k miles on it. It is now 2016 and Im still driving it with 286,000 miles on it! I love my car! There have been some fixes here and there- I had to replace both front axles a few years ago. I replaced a couple belts. The a/c doesnt work anymore. I replaced the radio with a better one. Both interior door handles broke. I fixed the drivers door and it lasted a couple years and broke again. Its ok. To me, its all just fixing the wear and tear. I would buy this car again, any day. Its not very often that you find a car like this one.

3 yrs: zero repair -- $300 maintenance - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By WIprofessional - September 1 - 3:33 pmI commute 45 miles each way for work on country roads. This car has been comfortable and fun to drive for the first 3 years. Gets 40 mpg at ~50 mph ave speed w/o using air conditioning. 36 mpg highway w/o air 34 mpg highway with air. Hauls canoe well. Plenty of power without heavy load: feels sluggish with 5 passengers and luggage. Also sluggish on big hills even with only 1 passenger. Like every Hyundai Ive owned (3) very reliable and no repair costs.

Awesome car. Great mpg AND fun to drive! - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By sumeetd - June 8 - 2:20 amIm 17 and this was my first car. Being a teen, I dont make a lot of money, but thats ok since this baby gets great mpg. On average I get about 33 mpg. Plus the car itself is really fun to drive. The car is extremely nimble. With my aggressive driving habits, I find myself weaving through highway traffic with ease.

Love Hyundai - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By J8 - February 19 - 9:58 amI had a 94 Excel before this and although that was the best car in the world, the Accent is basically its younger sister. I love hatchbacks to begin with and prefer Asian cars. The Accent will take whatever you throw at it, even though its not exactly in a big hurry. If you want a powerhouse, this isnt the right car the Accents all about economy. Handles great, fits in anywhere, I complain if my MPG dips to 27 (only in winter - when it warms up its back pushing on 40). Also, never having dealt with a warranty before, I was impressed by how simple Hyundai is to deal with. The speed sensors went out & I was a bit late finding my paperwork to transfer the warranty but it was no problem.

Love Hyundai - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By Jannes - November 2 - 2:13 pmI had a 94 Hyundai Excel before this and after losing it in a fire wanted something just like it. Found the Accent, which is basically its younger sister. I have only a couple design issues Id change, but I love this car. The speed sensors did have to be replaced before 30K but the warranty covered it completely. If youre not looking to be out racing people & dont tend to have more than 1 passenger, its about as close to perfect as you can come. I definitely plan on sticking with Hyundais from here on out.

I hate this car - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By TRNJ - August 29 - 8:24 pm1st off, within the first 12,000 miles, I had to go to the dealership 3xs b/c of my spark plugs -- then after about 10,000 more miles, I had to get them replaced again -- of course they didnt fix it right the first time... and second off, still having problems, just fixed my transmission and whatnot 500 buck -- of course only covered in the extended warranty--and its still not fixed... it likes to accelerate and drop speed between 60-75, of course per my claim to the dealership -- they have NOO idea what I am talkin about, gotta bring it back in... my friend has the same car, he driver door doesnt lock anymore and her boyfriend has a 2Door accent (all 05) and his interior lights dont work

Fun car - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By ed - March 23 - 1:42 pmFor how cheap this car is, it is the best ever, i get ok gas mileage about 26-27, but i drive fast. i get 28-30 when i drive sane, and freeway for trips i get 35, once in the mountains driving around 45mph i got around 42. this car can go fast i drove it thru the desert going to tuscon with no one around on the freeway and i was going 110 and it still got good mileage like 33. i love driving this car. this car is off the ground more than most sedans today so i can drive over normal things without worrying

I love how my Accent feels - 2005 Hyundai Accent
By Christine Sanchez - October 11 - 10:28 amOne thing I really not noticed is that it takes very well to corners and when I need to accelerate quickley I can count on it to give me that edge. I have relied on the breaks several times to help me avoid sudden stopping around me and this was comforting to know how dependable the brakes were. I call her "squirt" because she is small compared to our SUV but has amazing punch and is just overall fun to drive. I dont recommend you make interior any smaller as it can feel cramped with my 6 foot tall quarterback son in the car! He feels it to be snug when he drives.
