  • My H3 had some bugs - 2006 Hummer H3

As with any new car or truck, you might run into problems, but my H3 has been in the dealers shop 5 times now for different things from the rear window panels were warped from the heat of the sun from the H3 sitting in storage. The passengers seat belt had problems, The Bigger was the belts sqweek for an hour after I started it and made a loud chirping sound. The dealer rep said that this is a common problem and theyre using special belts down for it. My H3 was fixed and so was seat bel problem. Just got recall notice in mail about rear window washer needs replacement. Back into the shop it goes =( I still love the truck very much, but I hope this is the last dealer visit.

This SUV is a blast. Well built and sexy. I bought it last mo, so Ill be back in 3 or 4 mos to re-review when I know more about its character. This SUV is well worth looking at for the money.

No mech. problems so far but the engine temp reaches the redline at noon especially when accelerating. A/C works fine if the car had been shaded. Otherwise, it wont! people sitting in the back? tough luck. Limited rear seating and no rear A/C. I can live with the weak engine, you know, its a HUMMER statement. Go for Tahoe or TrailBlazer if u want power n speed. H3 Handling and cornering is unbelievably good. Visibility is hard at traffic lights but good when the sun is baking ur head at 45 d angle. Poor finishing, the buttons started to peal off, but the black enterior I got is satisfying my needs. comfortable ride even with the leather but too noisy on highways. Monster on sand n ramps.

Never thought Id even consider buying another GM after past experiences with inexcusable poor quality. But the H3 seems to be made a LOT better than GMs of past years. Lack of power issue doesnt bother me much since I live in flat FL, but I do doubt that I wouldve bought this thing if I lived in a state with mountain highways. Its a head-turner, many people have commented that they like it better than the H2 for all kinds of reasons. If youre looking for a mid-size SUV that has high-end appeal without the high sticker price, Id recommend it. (Warning; Bank drive-thrus are a problem due to height of doors - long arms required, otherwise you have to climb halfway out the window.

I bought it after comparing the the Jeep Commander to the H3. The Commander had so amny more options but the H3 appearance kept me coming back. The exterior looks are great, the interior is very comfortable. With the size to the H3 a little more leg room could have been found for the rear seat area. The stereo is the best I ever had from the factory. The dash is simple and clean. The stereo was mounted slightly crocked but the dealer took care of that. The ride is very good. The engine, no surprise here, could use a few more horses but considering it is a TRUCK and not a sports car it move well at highway speed.

I just got my new H3 and tested it on NHs class six roads and regular highways- Super comfort and had a sure footed feeling all day. Coming out of 2004 4x4 Ford pick-up to this is like nothing I can describe. I give it 2 thumbs up-

  • H3 Rocks - 2006 Hummer H3

I absolutely love my H3. When I first started doing research on it the first thing that caught my eye was the horsepower. I must say it does just fine with the advertised 220. Its not fast off the line but once moving it can pass with ease. Bottom line its a hummer, its not made to go fast. The interior is spacious and well laid out. The seat controls are a little hard to get to but thats okay. The ride is very smooth and comfortable. If your thinking about it you need to go to the dealership and test drive one. Youll be surprised..

  • GM got it just right - 2006 Hummer H3

Weve had our H3 (automatic with Offroad Pkg) almost six months, so a review is in order. Main use is local short-haul commuting. We occasionally go offroad. Considering the H3 is a true offroad capable rig, its in-town manners are great. It maneuvers better than many sedans. The street ride is kind of truck-like, but the freeway ride is great and amazingly quiet. Visibility issues are overblown; no worse than many popular cars. Engine power is adequate but more would be nice. Doesnt do well on grades at 70. Offroad the H3 is superb but thats a write-up in itself. We get about 13mpg in town (rarely above 40mph), 18+ on trips. Regular. One warranty item; sticky window switch. We love our H3!

  • H3 is for some not for all - 2006 Hummer H3

I knew what I was getting with this Hummer and so I love it! The H3 is unique vehicle for a the rugged SUV lover. If you want a SUV that rides like a car - the H3 is not for you. The H3 is fun to drive in its own right as the feeling of empowerment comes as stadard equipment. It is underpowered but with recent gas prices Ill take the fuel savings as a benefit of not having a V8.
