Great Car - 2001 Honda Prelude
By Gene - June 15 - 12:07 amThis has been a great car for me for the past 5 years. It has never had any issue with reliability or handling, braking is brilliant and performance very good. It even has room for two young kids in the back seat. Basically this car gives solid performance with all the little things thrown in - mine has cruise, power everything, sun roof, sports gears etc..

I love my Prelude Type SH!! - 2001 Honda Prelude
By hardrock75 - November 14 - 2:31 pmI purchased this car used from an owner who had done all of the routine maintenance (oil changes, etc) on time , at the Honda dealer in Kirkland, WA. The auto had 42,000 miles when I purchased it in Mar, 2006. No "dings" and no apparent mechanical problems. It had an excellent stereo (Alpine. I recently replaced the original equipment tires (205-50r 16) with 225-50r 16s and like them more. I have driven back and forth from Las Vegas NV to Seattle WA 3 times and averaged 28.9 MPG-at an average of 70+ MPH! I drove thru Oregon (US 395) which is a fun highway for a sports car and had a ball! So far, I have had no problems to report and I have changed the oil as required.

Love Prelude - 2001 Honda Prelude
By Ross - October 11 - 5:14 amI have had this car for over a year and a half and I love it. I always wanted one since 97 when they came out and when my old accord was totalled I jumped at the opportunity to buy a good used Prelude. I have not been dissappointed.

SWEET....Collectors Car to Be - 2001 Honda Prelude
By Roboy - September 18 - 2:00 amI dont understand why Honda quit making the Prelude. The profile is very sporty. It is strong, with near 200hp from the DOHC, 16 valve, VTech 4 cylinder engine. The low profile tires and the suspension system make it stick like a race car in a tight corner. Handling is superb and the 4 wheel disc brakes will flat stop you.The overall quality is what we have come to expect from Honda. The price was right for the upper end performance of the 2001 Prelude

Sports car w/GREAT reliability - 2001 Honda Prelude
By ebp lude - June 28 - 2:00 amOwned it for over 3 yrs since new. It has not failed me once. Its classic styling (esp. the headlights) grow on you. 200HP is not high for todays stds but power isnt everything. It is such a well-rounded sports car that does everything well, with handling being its best attribute. If you want a FUN and exciting car to drive w/good utility and great reliability this is it.

A true entry level sports car - 2001 Honda Prelude
By lude329 - May 24 - 2:00 amThis car is great, thats the only way to put it. F1 engine tech, Honda reliability, seemless shifting and so much fun to drive. VTEC its like having a turbo but with no LAG! I have some aftermarket parts. I replaced the junk stock Bstone RE92s with Bstone RE750s, night and day difference. A Quaife limited slip, so its like ATTS only better, AEM Cold air intake. If your gripes about this car are the requirement for premium fuel, small trunk or too noisy ... you shouldnt drive this type of car. This is one car Honda never should have gotten rid of!
