The Odyssey gains a number of improvements this year. Included with the Odyssey 2.1 upgrade is more power, a new five-speed transmission, standard rear disc brakes and side airbags, optional leather seating and DVD entertainment, two new exterior colors and minor interior storage refinements.

• Excellent crash-test scores, huge interior, fold-flat third-row seat, powerful V6, optional navigation and entertainment system, a bargain at sticker price.

• Slow power sliding doors, dealer markup still a possibility.

  I went from driving a 1995 Suburban to my new Odyssey, and I couldnt be happier with this van! Its like driving a sports car for moms. My two kids and all their stuff fit great. Even my husband, who is six-foot, two- inches tall, can fit in it comfortably.

  WE PURCHASED THE HONDA ODESSEY EX TO REPLACE OUR CHRYSLER MINIVAN. AT 70K MILES IT BECAME UNRELIABLE FOR LONG TRIPS. OUR NEW HONDA HAS BEEN A PURE PLEASURE. FROM THE HIGH QUALITY AND RELIABILITY TO THE CAVERNOUS REAR STORAGE WELL, WE COULDNT BE MORE PLEASED. MY INLAWS PURCHASED A NEW CHRYSLER T&C LIMITED AT THE SAME TIME AS OUR HONDA. THEY HAVE SPENT SO MUCH TIME AT THE DEALER HAVING ITEMS FIXED OR REPLACED. WE HAVENT BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER IN 8 MONTHS.

  Even with little discounting from the sticker, it is a good value. Many features on the LX for the money. Excellent acceleration, handles like a sedan, comfortable and convenient. One windshield washer nozzel had to be replaced and the sliding doors would stick shut if not opened for a while. The dealer took care of the problems quickly. So far, so good.

  Just got a 2002 Ody w/ DVD&Leather. Big improvement! If BMW made a minivan, this is what it might feel like. Fixes most all little complaints before. Is for my wife, but I DO like to drive it-amazed at how much better it feels than our 99 Ody. More power, more refined, etc. DVD sys. rocks-Watched Jurassic Park-impressive! Cant wait for our next trip! Can hold more, er...stuff... than you can believe & doesnt take a degree getting the seats out (magic seat rules) Wow-what a product!

  Great van - 2002 Honda Odyssey

  Possibly the best van out there. The 3.5L engine is smooth, quiet and quick. The amenities are excellent, especially ubiquitous cup holders. Very good stereo CD, auto climate control, and contrary to reports, power doors. These doors close and open at about the right speed.

  We have owned minivans of differnt makes for many years.The Honda is the best all around minivan I have ever driven.I dont thank the Honda rides or is as quite as the Dodge. The Hondas motor,transmission and the way it drives make up for it. The Odyssey drives like a car.

  honda corperation,needs to communicate with there dealers and let them know not to mark up the price,$5,000 sometimes more... some dealers quote me as much as a $100.00 more on the monthly than what i finally got.. i think the manufacture is at fault too by limiting production,and creating a high demand,shame on you honda!!!shape up,this is america competition is fierce!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Great van, compared to previous gm van. Superior room, comfort, and power. Tight as a drum. Family looks forward to trips with DVD always ready to go. Road noise is the only downside. Van could use more soundproofing. Paid sticker but worth every cent. Have never said that before and never paid sticker either till now.
