  • Plastic is not a good quality - 2010 Honda Insight

I like this car. But it is such a lightweight that plastic on left hand side makes noise on bumpy ride. I showed it to dealership. They fixed it. But it again started making noise after two days. Also power on acceleration is not good. It is not able to drive fast enough on hilly roads. It starts charging battery on the middle of the hilly roads, rather than waiting for a while. That makes cars power stink.

I drove both and hands down the Insight drove better and was more responsive than the Prius. Very enjoyable ride in the hybrid era. I really enjoy the way that the car encourages you to drive with efficiency. The stereo rocks and the car is smooth and sleek. Nice to have a car that stands out and has a great look, especially the front and rear design. I am very happy with the decision to buy this car!

I drove a 2010 Prius before I purchased this car. The Prius is bigger and does not handle as well. Also, noise seemed to be more intrusive. I have consistently achieved mileage above 40 without trying. The car structure is tight and strong giving a very secure feeling as you drive. To sum it up, the various components of this car work well together leading you to the realization that a great deal of thought and engineering went into the design of this car.

This is my first hybrid purchase and i did not know what to expect, so I did a lot of research before I set to the dealership to purchase one. Most reviews are accurate, Honda Insight is one car to fall in love with, it is very interactive, fun to drive and most importantly, fuel-efficient. The fact that it is less expensive than the leading hybrid car of its kind makes it more appealing to budget- conscious people like me. I do not regret getting the EX with Navi although that cost me a couple thousand more. It gives the Insight more features than simple navigation alone.

The 2010 Insight is a practical compact car that also happens to be a fun and engaging hybrid to drive. My first week with the Insight has been pleasant and rewarding with regard to the overall driving experience. Most of all - it meets my needs and fits within my budget. Exterior fit and finish is on par with its Honda kin - crisp lines and flowing forms that line up impeccably. Inside one will find a great deal of plastic, although it is mostly agreeable and retains the same level of refinement found outside. While I have yet to drive it without Eco-Assist enabled, my real world fuel economy is coming in at just over 50mpg with helpful coaching from the Multi-Information display.

  • I love the Insight - 2010 Honda Insight

Ive had the Insight for about three weeks now and I really do love it. Over the first 1,000 miles Ive achieved an average of 51 miles per gallon without really trying. The only thing Ive had to do differently is slow down from my pre-Insight speed of 75 on the highway. I live in the Midwest and my commute is not very hilly. At a speed of 65 MPH I am getting 50 MPG. I have not yet had to use the A/C or the heat, which I expect will bring down the numbers come summer and winter. The auto-stop feature is great on gas, but takes a while to get used to. The gas kicks back on when you release the brake and the result can be a jerky response at the line if you hit the gas too quickly.

  • You have to do the speed limit. - 2010 Honda Insight
    By -

I love driving this car. It feels great in the drivers seat. If I drive the speed limit, I get a average of 48mpg. I love the mp3 player. My family sings every time we take a trip. It lacks on the pick-up, but I did not buy a sports car (It just looks like one). I sold my old car that was great on gas (A Toyota Echo), and I have no regrets after 5 months! My only complaint is the view from the rear window is blocked by the hatchback design. Its hard to see cars behind you, and it takes a while to get used to.

  • Better Gas Mileage Than Expected - 2010 Honda Insight

When I went to buy a new car, I was looking for fuel efficient and economical. I tried the Prius, but didnt love the way it handled and couldnt handle how expensive it was, even used, especially if you want some additional features. I was very pleased when I drove the new Honda Insight. The handling is great. It is comfortable. Extra features (I got the EX) dont add that much to the price. So far I look forward to driving my car every day. And I am getting over 50MPG (I drive entirely in city), versus the 41 average that is advertised. I no longer rush to get where I am going- instead I enjoy playing the game of how to get better MPGs.

I ordered my car two months before it hit the market. I fell in love with it from the first time I saw it. I can honestly say that this car has saved me many tickets. I have become a much better driver, I love the fact of being rated every time I drive the car. I feel like I am flying a plane.

  • Great Economical Car - 2010 Honda Insight

I took a look at a 2007 Prius, but it didnt feel like a traditional car like this one. The styling, handling, and overall driving experience is great on the Insight. I did have to get used to the fraction of a second hesitation when you start from a full stop. And there is a very small shudder as the engine turns off when you stop. But these have only been minor annoyances that I dont even notice anymore. I am going to the gas station a lot less these days, and the price is well within the range of your average new compact car.
