  • 2 Year Ownership - 2007 Honda Civic

I bought this vehicle because I needed one - before kids. Its better if you dont have kids. All I can fit in the trunk is a stroller and a portable crib and not much else. The ride was ok at first, but it has gotten worse. Recently, the bars on the gas gauge go up and down. I have had to replace the sun visors because the heat split the plastic and wouldnt allow them to close. The radio a couple of times has gone out for a minute and then will come back on and once the car wouldnt turn over and nothing was wrong with it. The up and down shift is also not the greatest in the automatic. Sometimes I have to press the gas pedal all the way down to get up speed to get on the highway.

Do not buy this car if you are wanting a comfortable ride. Im 61 250lbs. It is very hard to get in the driver seat. The steering wheel has to be all the way in the up position and the seat all the way back for me to slide in. The seats are very hard and uncomfortable. The parking brake handle is located where my knee stays on it while driving, this will make your knee start hurting in about 10 - 15 minutes. I had to put a small pillow next to the brake handle to make the pain somewhat tolerable. Road noise is loud, I mean LOUD. The BIGGEST problem I have experienced is the cupping that occurs on the back tires, see below in the suggested improvements.

  • Not All That I Expected - 2007 Honda Civic

I purchased my new Civic EX two weeks ago primarily because of all the great reviews it received. I am very happy with the color (Atomic Blue), for which Ive had many compliments, the interior and exterior styling, the many standard options and the fuel economy. Ive filled up once and figured the mileage at 32 mpg with mostly city driving. But I am not at all happy with the ride quality, which is rough and noisy. Every little bump and dip is felt, and on rough asphalt it almost seems to vibrate. The ride is only smooth when the road is totally smooth. Also, the seats are too firm for my liking. I love everything about my new Civic except those two things.

  • Fun Fun Fun ... and Practical! - 2007 Honda Civic

Being a father of two kids, I was growing tired of driving the family SUV with automaitic tranny. I went back to my youth by purchasing the Si Sedan and boy am I having a great time! After the initial break-in period, I floored the gas in 2nd gear until the RPMs ran over 6K. The car then turns into a monster with unbelievable acceleration with a Ferrari-like exhaust note thanks to the i-vtec K20 engine! I get about 250-275 miles per tank and spend about $40 ($3.80 per gal of 91 octane) at the station. Not bad compared to spending over $75 with my SUV which gets about 300-325 miles on a full tank of 91 octane. You MUST get this car with Navi and XM.

  • Fabulous Car - 2007 Honda Civic

Ive had my Si for nearly a month. I also test drove the normal Civic, and that was fine, but the Si is a fab little car. For both tooling around town and for road trips, its a whole lotta fun to drive. The trunk space is great, and the backseats are spacious. I love the shifting and the dashboard design. I dont love the spoiler, but Im getting used to it. I wish the Si got better gas mileage, but with this kind of power, I get what Id expect. There are a lot of little design features--details--that are classy and practical. I absolutely love this car.

  • Saved her life - 2007 Honda Civic

I purchased this car for my 16 year daughter based on the safety features, the airbags. On May 24, 2007 Jordan was hit on the drivers side by a minivan traveling the posted speed limit (35mps). She was transported to Atlantas Level 1 Trama Unit. 7 hours later, she walked out with me without a scratch on her. The extent of her injuries was when she lost conscious on impact and had a headache. She said the fire & rescue guy told her the airbags saved her life. I brought her the exact same car (different color) a month later.

  • What a car - 2007 Honda Civic

I bought a Civic EX with navigation system for my wife. The car is incredible. She loves it and dubbed it "Beauty". Build quality, design and looks are great. I score the car 10. I would have liked a leather option on the Civic though and had custom leather fitted. We have not yet had a lot of experience with the navigation system, but I have found it slow to react and inaccurate at times. My Garmin Streetpilot does a much better job. It takes some getting used to, but the integrated navi system/audio system that flips open at the touch of a button is great. The voice command feature adds a nice touch. The best car in its class, competitively priced with lots of features.

  • Alot of "FUN" for your money!!! - 2007 Honda Civic

This "little" car is fun to drive! It comes with loads of gadgets and is quite a speedy little car. I would recommend buying this car to anyone who wants a lot of car, in a small package.

  • Did not meet my expectations - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

I want so badly to love this car, but I just cant quite do it for a few reasons. I traded in a 98 Prelude Sh and ordered this car from the factory as soon as I found out about its existence, but its not the four door replacement for the Prelude that Id hoped it would be. First, the transmission issue is incredibly frustrating. Second, the emergency brake jabs me in the knee. I know this issue may be limited to me, but its not a good feeling when you purchase a brand new car and it makes you limp. Third, the build quality is not up to par with the other Hondas or Toyotas Ive owned. Its a great looking and the performance is unparalleled for the price but its not perfect.

  • Best in class - 2007 Honda Civic

Best in class, for sure. The interior, exterior styling is unparalled. Just fantastic and Im getting compliments daily. The throttle feels much better then my 04 civic sedan. This feels a lot heavier and powerful. Very different car then the 04 civic. Its also very steady on the highway. Quiet, etc.
