No styling, content or trim changes for the 2000 Honda Civic. The performance-oriented Si continues for 2000, and there have been paint comings and goings: Taffeta White has been added to the CX and DX Hatchback, and Dark Amethyst has been dropped; Titanium Metallic comes to the DX, LX and EX Sedan, and Vogue Silver is gone. Vintage Plum is now available to the LX and EX Sedan, and Inza Red has been eliminated.
- Roomier than many cars in this class, agreeable levels of comfort in any trim level, powerful Si engine.

HONDA CIVIC SI 6 YEARS LATER - 2000 Honda Civic
By Luke - March 16 - 1:38 pmI bought this car in college because I needed a car to get from point A to B and that was different and fun to drive. I have had no problems other than what the previous owner had caused due to performance mods. My mileage in city driving has been about 23 mpg while on the highway at 72 mph it has been 32.5 max.I am very happy with this car and love driving it.

Civi Si - 2000 Honda Civic
By Pete5332000 - March 2 - 10:00 amFirst off, if i know that the "Si" meant steal it I would have bought a daewoo. Other than that its a blast to drive. What really sold me was the fact that I could get some sporty performance or decent gas mileage (havent hit above 32 mpg yet), depending on my mood. Also it handles really well for being FWD. I also really liked that they put in the B16A2 engine instead of boring D-series.

No problems! - 2000 Honda Civic
By justjess - January 18 - 10:00 amImagine getting in a vehicle every day with no problems. NONE. Thats been my experience with my 2000 civic EX coupe. As with most Hondas, if you take care of it, it will take care of you! Sometimes Ill notice someone driving a late 70s model civic on the road (no wonder most Honda dealers have the 100,000 mile club). Im leasing my 2000 civic, and will probably miss it when it goes back next year. Ive considered getting the Jetta next year, but when I hear about the window problems with the jettas and all of the other annoying problems with the vws, it of course gives me second thoughts. If Im smart, Ill get another Honda!

By J W - November 24 - 2:35 pmHonda really hit a nerve in the 1999-2000 Si Coupes. I will admit that I have done a few suspension tweaks to the rear, upper rear tower brace, and lower rear tie bar. Sportline springs, and opened up the lungs of this little race car with a cold air intake, 4-2-1 header, and cat back exhaust. Short throw shifter, Sorry Honda, 5th gear had me scraping my knuckles on the glove box. Oh and the front seats belong in a Buick. Overall evaluation is that this is still one of the greatest little cars of all time, it makes me smile every time I drive it, and with my specs added is the perfect ticket getter for me.

Old Trusty Steed - 2000 Honda Civic
By plastic - November 22 - 3:06 pmI am a daily commuter driving 125 miles to and from work. I have over 130K miles on my Civic LX. I get an average of 36-37 mpg (mostly highway). Heres my secret. Mobil 1 5w30, Mobil 1 oil filter. I use only Shell gasoline. If I switch to an off-brand, the mpg goes down to 32-33mpg. This car is the best car I have ever owned. It is smooth, agile, and looks great. Very affordable car. I can wait to purchase a 2006.

Great Commuter Car!!! - 2000 Honda Civic
By Daily Commuter - November 15 - 3:11 pmI purchased this car because I wanted a reliable commuter car. Something I could put a bunch of miles on and not worry about anything but general maintenance. Im pleased with my purchase. I average around 39 mpg. I changed out my standard air filter and added a K&N for a little better breathability. I added A/C for $800 from my Honda dealer, as it does not come standard. This is not the fastest car out there, but I bought it for its economy--not performance. Besides that, I love my car!

2nd DX Hatchback - 2000 Honda Civic
By CJ - October 13 - 8:17 pmI bought my 2000 Civic DX Hatchback in May 2003, I at the same time had a 1991 Civic DX Hatchback that I bought when it was 8 years old (and would still have it, but Husband wrecked it!). I love these cars, perfect for running around anywhere & everywhere. Fold the Seats down, take the dogs to the Vet, load up luggage & take a road trip. And on the Highway gas mileage cant be beat, get close to 350 miles on 1 tank, & then I was REALLY movin (yes, had the radar detector on). Parking is a breeze can park in lots of spaces other vehicles have to pass up, easy to wash (15 Mins). Other than routine maintenance, fill the Tank, & take off! Ill be sure & buy another....Overrall Best Car I ever had.

Im just 19 years old, I paid it all in cash, and is my first car, so I think is a good car, a very good car, 00 Civic rocks!
