Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Car Stinks - 2008 Honda Civic

This is my first and last Honda I will ever buy, I have had nothing but problems with the car from day one. Headlights fell out, interior is falling apart, windows have broke, power window motors went out, transmission is going out, had the cheapest tires money could buy on the car when purchased. Heater vent went bad, radio controls are barely working, the car is horrible, bought it for its good mileage and reliability. Havent encountered either one.

  • Nice car but a bit cramped... - 2016 Honda Civic

Nice car but a bit cramped inside. Driver seat bottom is too short - Im 61", 33" inseam. I prefer the Accord... roomy, better ride, nicer overall.

Overall this car is the best I have ever driven. The interior and exterior are simply awesome... definitely the typical Honda... 2 thumbs up to Honda this time! The seats are a bit uncomfortable, but not too bad to deal with.

  • Decent car, but not worth extra $ - 2003 Honda Civic

Not a bad little car. My major problem with the Civic Hybrid is that I seldom come close to the 48/47 mpg Im supposed to be getting. Its usually around 43mpg on the dash and 40 mpg actual at the pump (the dash display is always off by 2-4 mpg). Still not bad, but this is the selling point so it should be considered a big problem being that the car cost a good $4000 more than other civics. Other than that, the brakes are sub-par, and leads to the occasional minor loss of steering control over bumps in the road. This can be a little scary when it first happens. Ive had no real problems other than the car stalling once. Other than these things, it drives like any other Civic.

  • Great company, great car! - 2006 Honda Civic

After just leaving the world of SUVs, I have made an excellent choice with this fun, yet practical car. I have read multiple various reviews and performed several comparisons to conclude that Toyota and Honda were definitely the best options. However the Honda offered the most features, especially safety features, standard. I built the same car as the Civic LX on Toyotas website and wound up several thousand dollars more expensive with the Corolla.

  • Civic - What you expect no surprises - 2009 Honda Civic

So far so good. This car is everything that I expected. Great gas mileage 33miles/gallon mix city/highway. Not especially sporty or exciting to drive but to get to work and around town works well. This car doesnt accelerate from a stop very well but then this is part of the gas saving component. I believe a model equipped manual transmission would improve this and be more fun to drive. But for me not practical since I drive in stop and go rush hour traffic daily. This car does have a significant amount of road noise but no more so than other cars in its size class. One other item that is an annoyance, the fabric (black) on my LX-S attracts lint and hair like a magnet. Is hard to keep clean.

got a lease on the blue civic lx sedan nice car now much to look at in the interior why dont they ever match the overhead with the same color not black and white. moving on, for a base model a 5 radio is too small!! but the sound is pretty good, seats why not power seats? could have been better with leather my butt hurts driving 130 mile trip, road noise on the high way get ear plugs or turn up the raidio headlights should have been LEDS not halogen. cruise control very slow accelerating i mean you have to floor it and then set your desire speed but once you slow down and wanna go up on speed make sure you have some popcorns along the way. NO REMOTE START! COME ON!! no cupholders on the back seat or folding tray whos idea was for cups or bottles to go on doors? a rear power outlet would have been nice. suspension is cool!! small stering wheel very sporty and good grip and last the engine vibrates a little thats odd for a new car VERY GOOD GAS SAVER $25 fills the tank. SO overall i like the car but so may things missing it doesnt seem to be worth $20 grand

  • Wonderful car - 2008 Honda Civic

Ive had my civic sedan ex for a month and still look for excuses to go take a ride. Its comfortable and fun to drive. I use the cruise control a lot to maintain speed at economy limits but today when driving got preoccupied and when I looked at that great digital speedometer realized I was over 80 and the car felt as solid as it does at 25. Only complaint is that the radio seems weak, otherwise an all around great ride.
