Overview & Reviews
Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.
The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Not getting mileage - 42 mpg, instead of 45 - 2007 Honda Civic
By mukund - July 3 - 4:20 amVery good car overall, however, I would have expected to get no less then 45 mpg, I have some local and some highway driving. On highway, I cruise at 69 mph. I called dealer, he said my mpg should improve after 7500 miles, currently I have 3200 miles.

Great car - saves money and air. - 2005 Honda Civic
By BobT - June 29 - 2:00 amI wanted a hybrid that looked like a car, and the Honda Civic is that car. Most people who have ridden in the car cannot believe that it is a hybrid. The performance has been great, and the mileage even better.

Celebrating Honda Ownership for 1 month - 2016 Honda Civic
By Amber Davidson - June 27 - 3:10 pmI LOVE my Civic! I had been wanting one for at least 10 years. Instead, I bought a Jetta. My Jetta was great but super duper expensive on repairs. I researched and researched what I was looking for in a Civic and I got it. The one caution I would tell anyone; when I first got the car, I had downloaded iOS 10 beta. It and Apple Car Play didnt talk well. So I had to reset my phone - I hated the software anyway - and basically reset my car computers. Everything has been great since!

07 Civic LX Sedan Review - 2007 Honda Civic
By lhase - June 27 - 1:40 pmI agree the headrests are painfully forward (but I guess thats to help in a crash. May try the Accord headrest swap, thanks!) Road noise on certain surfaces, otherwise nicely quiet. Getting 28 mpg on my 60/40% city/hwy commute. Good handling (0.81g!) on Eagle RS-A tires. I like the surprisingly quick steering ratio for an econo-sedan. The digital gauges do work well - you can keep your eyes on the road ahead while checking speed/temp/gas. Accelerates quickly enough, esp. considering the fuel economy. Headlights work well with wide even light pattern and flat European cutoff.

Totally Satisfied - 2009 Honda Civic
By Ben - June 27 - 3:43 amTurned in a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan with 230000 miles in the CARS program and couldnt be happier. This car looks and feels fantastic. Could have a little more zip when merging on the highway, but it is certainly not a dog and it cruises in the mid 70s (mph) seamlessly. Absolutely comfortable and hugs the road. Nice interior design and two tier instrument panel is beautiful and ergonomic. Sound system is excellent.

Run, dont walk - 2008 Honda Civic
By Mark - June 24 - 9:06 pmGet this automobile soon as possible. I recently received mine and Im absolutely thrilled! I never write reviews for anything but this car is very impressive. Fuel economy is an important part of the story, but just getting more for your money in every way is the overall benefit. My Taffeta white coupe just keeps me staring at it when parked!! Do your due diligence with similar models, you will come back to this Honda for sure as I did.

2009 honda civic Lx 4 dr.sedan ,1.8L 4cy - 2009 Honda Civic
By honda civic - June 23 - 5:46 amI have owned my civic for 2 weeks. I did not test drive the car. I wish I did. I dont like the braking takes too long to stop. The wind takes the car. I had a 2002 civic, I loved it. I just turned in my accord. I am so sorry I didnt get another one. I am stuck with it for 3 yrs. lease.
