Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • 2008 Si is great - 2008 Honda Civic

This car is strictly fun to drive. You can drive it "soft" if you want to, or rev it up all the way to 8000 RPMs and fly around the corners. Easy maneuvering, great road grip, and I think relatively quiet for a "sports" car.

  • EXCELLENT VEHICLE - 2003 Honda Civic

I would recommend this vehicle to young and old buyers who want to have fun when driving their vehicle. The two-door EX (especially the Blue Pearl color) with the standard alloys is the one to get because it just looks so good on the road and many people will envy you even though it is "just a Honda Civic". So yes I am satisfied with my decision.

  • Good second car - 2008 Honda Civic

I was looking for a second car to make our family less dependent on each other with commuting. This car is probably the best compromise between the price and quality for a compact sedan. I enjoy driving it every time

  • Im Cooking with Gas - 2008 Honda Civic

I just got my Honda a few days ago and it definitely looks superb in terms of driving fun & reliability. I myself highly appreciate Toyota and the same goes to Honda features. What a gas mileage and smooth tranny in comparison to my previous 2000 Honda CR-V . The exterior designs just marvelous and it really satisfies you in roomy Interior as well. Honda got that little bit extra. Cmon. Come ride with us.

  • Getting advertised mileage-excellent car - 2006 Honda Civic

Recently purchased this vehicle, getting accustomed to the layout of the controls, Just by chance, I noticed that you are in electric mode at 1200 rpm, and 34-35 mph. You bump in and out of it, but I guess a lot is dependent on grade incline, accessories running etc. Cant complain about anything really, its too new. Im over 230 miles and still not at half a tank yet. The car really achieves economy, and is easier on the environment, as it turns of the engine at a stop. I Expect to achieve even better fuel economy after a couple of oil changes. Great handling, smart design, overall Im quite satisfied. Hats off to Honda Motors. Its nice to drive "past" a gas station for a change. Buy One.

  • SI Better Than I Thought - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

Wanted an affordable commuter with room for the family or friends, decided to add a bit of "performance and fun", and so far have had a blast. Sports suspension not overly harsh, but really have to hang on to the wheel while turning down-shifting, as expected. 6th gear really drops RPMs down, at 90mph was only hitting 4,000rpms, great for mileage and engine wear. As reported, not great lower end torque, and while noticeable, not even close to being a performance issue. Red panel glow more for younger demos, but its OK. Really need the radio/CD controls to be lighted at night, hard to see and use.

  • great sports car on a budget - 1999 Honda Civic

Great car, fun to drive, good performance, good handling, looks good, and reliable too. I love tearing around in this car every day. It had no torque, but Jackson Racing fixed that. I still cant believe how much power I can reliably squeeze out of a 1.6L motor. The brakes were also mediocre, but AEM took care of that. A few more mods and this car will be more fun than my M3 was, at a fraction of the price. If you get one, put a good alarm on it because people like to steal stuff off of it, like the wheels, and especially that little red Si sticker on the back.

  • Loveit - 2003 Honda Civic

I love driving this car: It accelerates well, the shift is crisp, the ride is smooth (a bit bumpy at low speeds as the suspension is stiff), it corners unbelievably well and the steering is precise. The engine purrs quietly and yet is powerful and smooth. A fine machine!

  • Love my Honda Civic - 2006 Honda Civic

This is such a cute, sporty little car. It turns heads, drives beautifully, is so very peppy. Its an adorable looking little sport car wannabe that one has to smile at, with its little shelf spoiler. One design flaw with this and many other makes and models: no safe visibility when backing up. The upward flare of the new designs creates a huge blind spot.

  • Love this car - 2013 Honda Civic

Bought this car brand new with 6 miles on it and it currently has 135,000ish. I needed a car which was great on gas and reliable and this was a home run. I drive 64 miles one way to work (128 total each day) and the car averages about 430 miles (all highway) on a single tank of gas. This car has never had one problem and I have done nothing to it except regular maintenance (oil and transmission fluid, tires, etc). The only thing I can even come close to complaining about is I wish the seats had more back support. This wouldnt be an issue if I didnt spend 2 hours a day driving and is an easy fix with a small pillow/towel.
