Overview & Reviews
Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.
The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

By jdm-man - February 10 - 10:00 amWhat an excellent car. 40mpg, plenty of room, performs excellently, no power accesories, very stylish, and most importantly extremely modifiable.

Best car on Earth in this class - 2006 Honda Civic
By J.Maloney - February 10 - 6:30 amWhen in for an oil change at the dealer with my CRV, I saw the 2006 Civic with Navigation on the showroom floor. I drove away in the Civic! Although paying full sticker for the car, I still feel it is the BEST DEAL out there in the below 30,000 dollar price range. The car has a fantastic, unmistakeably NEW design. Everything seems to make sense inside and out. It is loaded with standard features like Antilock Brakes, six airbags and power everything. BUY A NAVI if you can find one!

Along for the Ride - 2006 Honda Civic
By John OLeary - February 10 - 5:10 amI originally purchased the vehicle strictly for use in the car pool lane for my 56 mile each way drive from LAX to ONT airports. The 112 roundtrip miles per day I thought would be painful at best. However, the acceleration, performance and sports car handling is makes the drive exciting and fun. I have blue tooth technology for hands free conversation and an iPod connection that allows me to set the mood for the morning and evening commute. Im extremely satisfied with the car. Oh yes, the gas mileage is great too.

Love this car - 2006 Honda Civic
By R. Parker - February 9 - 2:40 pmI was looking for a vehicle that got better mileage than my truck (not that hard to find) and I found the civic hybrid. I did some research on them and found that it would be the best deal for me with the long distances I travel. I was spending about 150 buck a week with my truck on gas and the the prices went up. this car is unbeatable if youre looking for good mileage (40-45mpg hwy and about the same in the hills that ive been traveling in) less than 70 bucks to go from fl to ct

Nice car. - 2008 Honda Civic
By evped - February 7 - 5:43 pmIve owned many Hondas and this one is the best. I dont understand the low mpg that others complain about. Every Honda Ive owned has averaged whatever the highway mpg figure is. I drive mostly highway and keep the tires inflated and the speed under 70 mph. My lowest mpg has been 38 and the highest was 42.

Great Car! - 2005 Honda Civic
By AMM - February 6 - 1:23 amI purchased my Civic in July and then left on a 15000 mile cross country trip. As a four cylinder car, it doesnt shoot up the mountains but more than makes up for that in its handling ability. On the highway at crusing speeds of 75-89, it was wonderful and with cruise control on, the gas mileage was top notch (regularly 41 mpg). The interior of the car is spacious, given the compact size of the car and the features (radio, AC, etc.) are convenient and easy to reach.
