Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Very disappointed in Honda. The Civic design makes it impossible to actually see the hood of the car while driving and this is even with the seat raised so much your head nearly hits the roof of the car. Honda says its aerodynamic but I think it is inconvenient, makes parking very difficult and really unsafe. Honda says you will learn to sense the end of the car but I say RUN!

this is the third civic i have personally owned and am extremely thirilled to have bought this new civic..what a car. Without a doubt one of the best cars in this planet for the price and fuel efficiency and performance. Not to forget the leg room.. very spacious.. you have to get it to know what im talking about.. and if u drive a manual transmision get that.. very sporty.. have fun and enjoy.. byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The civic does not have the home link option. But overall its all of tech for your buck. Love the androids auto.

  • I Love The Civic - 2003 Honda Civic

I originally purchased the vehicle because of its design. I love the exterior look of the Civic Coupe. But since Ive purchased the car, Im more satisfied with all of the features and performance that this Civic offers for its price. The car has reliable pick- up when I hit the accelerator, its interior is comfortable, and all of the dials and switches are nicely integrated into the dash. Now, dont get me wrong, the car could use some more horsepower but for the price at which the car is offered, I think its probably the best car on the road out there for its class.

  • Best Owned Car - 2006 Honda Civic

Ive owned a Toyota, two VWs, and now two Civics, and this is by far the best car Ive owned. From its superb gas mileage, to its non-dated styling, this car takes the cake any day. Requires 87 octane and is certainly not a sports car, but the gas mileage is absolutely fabulous. Somehow, I cant stray from 34-36 mpg regardless of how i drive.

I have had this car for nearly 2 years and loved every minute of it. Drives great, everyone everywhere has to talk to me about the car and the color. Could use a little more storage and horse power. The shifter is the best, easly goes into gears and flys down the road.

  • Nothing like this car! - 2006 Honda Civic

This is the best car purchase Ive ever made. Economical, yet fun and fast! Its the perfect car for me. I enjoy the sound system (it is awesome) and this car has many perks (auto window/sunroof/navi/wheels)...the seats are so comfy too! Honda has really changed the style of the new civic, but its one that really works. I just have to be careful not to get a ticket-accelerating this car is a blast!

The Honda Civic Hybrid is a great car if you are looking for affordable, reliable, gas saving fun. Everyday this car continues to amaze me. In the Winter I was getting 51+ mpg (in AZ) and Im getting 46 mpg with the AC running. It is a typical Honda with great build and quality.

  • Good fun - 1997 Honda Civic

Ive had a 97 Civic EX coupe for about three weeks now, and Ive been generally happy with it so far. The build quality is excellent, and even at high speeds on the freeway the car feels quite solid. Road noise is a tad high. Last week I replaced the OEM Firestone tires with new Michelins, and the road noise dropped to half. My car has a stickshift, which is fun to drive, and has cruise control too. Unfortunately, there is no ABS option with the stickshift models. Except for these minor gotchas, the Civic is a great buy overall.

  • Is Honda now controlled by accountants? - 2001 Honda Civic

I purchased my 2001 EX after my 92 LX was totaled in an accident. The ride and noise level are much poorer in the 02 than the 92. Honda has also substancially cheapened the quality of many of its body and suspension components while improving on some mechanical items such as the engine and auto transmission. Gas mileage is also much poorer than the 92 LX. After 2 years of owning this car, I still miss my 92 LX.
