Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Great Redesign - Love It! - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

Traded my 2001 Civic EX Coupe in on this car and I love it. Honda added so many great features - the 01 was a great car, but Honda has really hit the nail on the head with the 07 redesign. Everything I didnt have on my 01 and wanted I now have on my new 07, and then some - except for leather, heated seats. The 5 speed transmission and added HP were much needed. Its a great car, inside and out - my third Civic.

  • Test drove many, nothing compares to.... - 2007 Honda Civic

I have looked for a new 2007 car for over two weeks. I have test driven everything, and really wanted a sunroof and navigation on the car i chose. However my budget limited my choice. I was choosing between camry, volkswagen etc, and nothing compared seriously to the perks that the civic had and the materials of the make. I found everything but the camry to be cheaply made. But camry with navi and everything else that the civic had was way too expensive. The civic just drove better and now that I have it, its awesome.

I will start off by saying if you are cross shopping this Civic with other cars in the class, it will not be the cheapest. However, mark my words, it will not drive the cheapest, feel the cheapest, or look the cheapest in the slightest. This car is such an absolute bang for your buck, I dont understand why anyone would get anything other than the newly redesigned Civic. It will crush the Cruze, Sentra, Mazda3, Camry and really any other car in this segment, did I mention I can get upwards of 44MPGs in my car? If your a research based consumer like I was before I made my purchase, I will also invite you to check out the 5-Year Cost to own on the other vehicles in this class, the Civic, much like every other Honda is without question, the valedictorian.

  • Making The Case for the Canadian Civic - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

I have taken my 2002 Civic EX on six SFO/PDX trips (750 mi each way). Harsh potholes, sand, scratched the bottom hard, and routine 90-110 mph commute at 5am. Despite warnings about the Canadian-built Civics of 2001 & 2002, I remain impressed with how much abuse my Civic has taken. I drive it like a maniac with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. Rattles are starting to surface after one year of abuse. Rides quiet like the old Accord. US-built tranny in my 2002 might be a problem in the future but so far so good. 2003 transmission is Japanese- built, car now made in Ohio, a good thing. overall, I suggest skipping Civic- get the Accord.

Went from a 2001 Z 28 Camaro to this.. so i have to get use to driving alittle slower. handles very good.. love the color ( blue ) and the gas mileage beats the Z by far..

  • What Corolla should learn from...! - 2009 Honda Civic
    By -

I bought this car due to its non- cliche styling, reliability, and performance. I love the way it rides, handles, quietness and the overall uniqueness. I was caught between the Corolla and it was a great revamp but it looked to cliche "family" type, the horsepower never changed, and the interior looked ehh, boring. It took me awhile to get use to the clunking when out and putting in gear... the dealer told me the brakes are magnetic or so. Although, for 140 horses it has a lot of go especially on overdrive but I think a lil more pep should be added. Anyways I love the car -- it was a great deal and I get compliments and looks because its just different from the rest.

  • I love my Civic - 1995 Honda Civic
    By -

I have a 95 Civic and absolutely love it. It was recently stolen and I thought I would never see it again, but 2 months later it is back. I couldnt even find another car I loved as much as a Civic. They are small, fast and fun to drive. If I could spend any more time in this car- I would.
