Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

This is my first time driving Honda and I am a guy who has owned Lexus, BMW and other domestic brands before. For this price, this is an excellent car in terms of handling, mpg, comfort and maintenance. I would highly recommend this car to all age groups. I drive about 200 miles per day and this is a very fun to drive car and the best choice for budget minded people.

Our fourth new Honda, previously owned Accords. Find our new Civic roomy, responsive, and well put together. Would recommend the Civic to my closest friends.

  • A Compact With Class - 2007 Honda Civic

This ones a real gem. Plenty of options, spacious, peppy 1.8L, and frugal on gas. Average gas mileage has been 30 mpg, combination city and highway usage. Steering is tight, with good manuveurability. Excellent driver and passenger leg and headroom for a compact. The split dash is easy to read. Of course, trunk capacity is limited, but the fold down rear seat option works for two people on a road trip. Would like to have the inside climate control of my Accord EX, but what can one expect for a compact price? So far, its been a classy addition to our Honda family. I just wish my wife would let me drive it every once in awhile!

  • Its a Honda - 2006 Honda Civic

Traded in a 05 2 door Civic LX for the 06 4 door EX. Even though car has more ponies it will get you where you want but still seems weak on horsepower. The design of the car really caught my eye, and the materials are of the quality you would expect. The price is not bad considering you get moon roof, alloy wheels, side curtain air bags,ABS, and a sticker EPA of 40mpg hwy. I had compared the new Jetta and the Mazda 3. The Jetta was more expensive and both did not get the EPA mileage the Civic is supposed to. As I said "its a Honda". This new Civic is a good looker but still is pretty plain vanilla when it comes to driving experience. Reliability rated excellent but really have not had long enough

  • Great car! Period! - 2000 Honda Civic

This is my first car, and I definitely have to say that I have no regrets on purchasing it three years ago. I live in Puerto Rico, and this car has suvived above 90-degree weather year- round. I hope to keep on buying Hondas, if they are all like this!

  • A year of research paid off!!!!! - 2001 Honda Civic

I did well over a year of research before I made my purchase. Well it has all paid off in the end. I purchased the Civic Si(Canada) and have 65,000 km on it so far. The only times itÂ’s been in the dealership is for scheduled maintenance. I have dealt with 4 different dealerships and all customer service was outstanding. I cant say enough good things about this car. The ride is comfortable (even at the end of a 16 hr drive); it gets great gas mileage (average 45mpg HWY and 35+ CTY) and has great styling. Honda has hit a home run with this car. It has good pick up and go but I would like to see a lot more HP and torque.

  • GREAT small car! - 2008 Honda Civic

I have really bad car A.D.D., and have driven most mainstream cars that have come out in the past 15 or so years. Hondas and Toyota / Lexus are always my favorites (for the obvious reasons), and Honda has really upped their game even more with their new lineup. For the price (especially w / the great lease offers they have), the new Civic is a really smart option. Probably one of the best cars in this price range as far as curb appeal, build quality, gas mileage, and general "fun to drive" factors go. Definitely recommend it!

  • 06 Civic Hybrid - 2006 Honda Civic
    By -

The 06 Civic Hybrid gets great mileage with a slight adjustment in driving style. I average 49.6 MPG combined with about 75% highway miles with 13K miles on the car. Driven at higher speeds, mileage drops slightly, about 45 MPG when driving at 70MPH or above. Comfortable, well built, and no maintenance issues so far. Styling is good and comfort is reasonable. The seats can be a bit hard on very long trips. Lots of extras included in the standard model make it a good value. Sips fuel, looks good, fun to drive, great handling for an ecomomy car. Overall, this is the best car I have ever owned. Plus, it is easy on the environment with very low emissions. Overall, I am extremely pleased
