Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Simply unbelievable value. Typical Honda "bullet-proof" quality in a fun to drive, roomy, economical, slow-depreciating car. A real home run. In terms of total cost (which of course includes depreciation), probably the least expensive car to drive. And it really can fit four adults! Miserly with gas and still peppy and can run all day at freeway speeds.

Ive owned 3 other Hondas and needed a workhorse to take care of 4 kids and a hockey coach. I bought the demo with 8000 miles on it already back in 10/98. It has been a very dependable car. Ive done the recommended maintenance on the vehicle and had the timing belt replaced when it hit 80K, (that was based on previous experience and manual recommendation). I liked the style of it and it was designed well and comfortable as well as fun to drive..just ask my kids!!

  • A modest Civic Si review - 2000 Honda Civic

I have to say driving the Si all the time is fun. When I first got it, for the 1st 2 days i did nothing but shift at 8000rpm every time!! and guess what it cost me? a full tank of gas that I would have normally used up in 1 1/2 weeks. The Si grabs when i need it and VTEC really helps me if I need a little more power. I love the look of it with the factory front lip and side skirts and still get comments to this day about my Si. 1 thing I wish Honda would have done with the engine is give it more torque. I would have been happy with a extra 20-30 ft-lbs of torque. But otherwise, I love my Electron Blue Pearl Civic Si!

  • civic ex - 2003 Honda Civic

Good looking coupe, very sporty. The ex is well equipped at a good price. The engine could use a bit more balls. The dealer open road sucks, my trunk lock did not work correctly and it got dammaged by me fron slamming it shut. They said the car was broken into which did not happen and i paid $500 to get it fixed. I will buy another Honda but not from them.

I love my 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid! I am thrilled with the gas mileage and I get the reliability of Honda, plus Ive gone "green"! This car is fun to drive, zipping around town, or scooting out into traffic- it is a pleasure. On trips and highway travel, the economy, performance and spacious interior are great. The two-tier dash gives it a bigger car "feel" and makes everything easy to see. The seats are comfortable and the cloth fabric has the feel of suede-very nice! The backseat and trunk are quite roomy and climate control is more than adequate. The sound system is fantastic and I have XM Radio to boot! It is fun to drive, comfortable to be in and great to look at, a sharp little car!

I did most of my research via the web and by the time I walked into the showrooms my decision was narrowed down to the Toyota Prius and the Honda Civic hybrid. Honestly, they are both great products. I felt I could not lose with either one. However, when I reviewed all of the features, cost, availability, etc. I felt like the Civic was the best choice for myself. I have had the car for a week, and am extremely pleased with it. I am currently getting between 37 and 40 MPG. I expect to do better once the engine is properly broken in, the weather warms up (I am in the Chicago area), and I switch over to a good synthetic oil. Overall, this is an excellent car. Highly recommended.

I love driving my car, I love how fast it accelerates as soon as I press the gas. I also love the shape and style of my red 2007 honda civic. The audio features are incredible too. The safety features are also incredible it has side airbags on all the doors. It makes me feel extremely safe.

  • Lots of Fun!! - 2007 Honda Civic

when I first saw the car , I was impressed by the beautiful exterior design. I got mine with the front under spoiler and fog lights and it looks very aggressive. I also got the interior panel trim which makes a big difference over stock. The car is lots of fun to drive. My only complaint is that it needs more power. In order to get those 197 horses you need to push the engine over 7000 rpm, which I think its not healthy for the engine. In conclusion its a great buy just needs more power. Turbo or supercharger will be nice.

  • 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid still great fun - 2003 Honda Civic

After 18 months and 44,000 miles with my 2003 Civic Hybrid 4 door with CV transmission, I still remain happy and enthusiastic about its design, construction, handling, enviornmental attributes, and of course wonderful fuel economy, and no, I don,t work for Honda. My overall mpg is slightly over 51 mpg. My best milage for 150 miles is over 60 mpg, and best ever is 76 mpg for 15 miles. I drove at posted speed limits, but was prudent. I have not yet tired of the satisfaction of being able to drive over 600 miles before getting a low fuel indication. In short, I continue to be quite satisfied with my decision and purchase, and would do it again!
