Overview & Reviews
Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.
The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Civic touring 2016 Great car!! - 2016 Honda Civic
By amy dunnigan - January 5 - 10:40 pmI love this car so far at 1300 miles its averaging 33 mpg. The technology is superb!!! Features galore!!! With Apple Icar, driving assists, booming 10 speaker stereo, this car rocks. Got black on black with tinted windows. Prior 2 cars were Acura TSX 2008, and Acura TLX 2015 and this car has rivals the Acura models. The Acura TLX was totaled and this is my 10,000 cheaper replacement and I couldnt be happier. I get compliments on the how sharp the car looks. Its a head turner!! Two cons I drive a lot and the wish the gas tank were bigger and I Iong for driver seat 2 passenger power seat memory.

Great gas Econ!... 44, not 48MPG - 2004 Honda Civic
By marknguyen - January 5 - 2:00 amIts manuf. rated at 48, but Im getting 44. I driver mostly on the Freeway, in Los Angeles, mostly low- peak hours, averaging 65 Miles Per hour, and getting 44MPG. Still, it uses Regular Gas, rather than my old Super Unleaded that got 21MPG... Better than 50% savings!

52 mpg first tank!! - 2007 Honda Civic
By tomnkim - January 3 - 9:06 amSo far excellent mpg. Excellent reliability and easy to get use to. Teaches you how to drive smartly and the instant mpg makes it easier to lay off the pedal. Room in the back is more then enough for the kids. Recommend totally.

Love it! - 2005 Honda Civic
By TRDelaware - January 2 - 7:13 amWent out and about last week armed with reviews of every car claiming 30+ MPG. The Civic was the only choice, and I drove 6 different cars-- everrything from the MX-3 to the Scion Xa. Perfect for commuting, comfortable, gas mileage today was 36.1--all highway. Although I bought the value package version, I really feel as if I got more for my money than the other models offered. Added to the legendary Honda reliability, I almost feel like I stole this car. Although the Elantra was a bit cheaper, with more options, it did not feel as solid as this car does.

Sweet little Si - 2006 Honda Civic
By Jim - January 1 - 7:53 pmI bought my 1st Honda Si in 1987, and loved everything about it. Sold it with over 200,000 miles and the engine was still perfect. The 2006 gives me the same feeling. This engine is the sweetest engine you will find. It loves to rev, and the sound is pure music. Currently have over 3,000 miles on mine and have enjoyed every mile. Its really amazing this day and age that you can find a sporty, well made, did I mention "fun" car for low 20s. You really need to drive one to know what Im talking about. Kudos to Honda for making a great car. Jim in Tennessee

Fun all around - 2008 Honda Civic
By gile - January 1 - 3:40 amI have had this car for 8 months now and I love it. I never had a fun car that I didnt have to pour gas in. I love the fact you can be lazy and ask yourself "should I stop and get gas today?" lol. The fact that oil changes are not needed until 5000 miles blew me away. The dash is fun and it has lots of contour lines for chrome. The hpp 17" aluminum rims are a nice touch. I have heard many good things about Honda and they are all true. I wish I never spent so much on Chevys and Fords in the past.
