Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Why spend more? - 2004 Honda Civic

If I had known the Civic was this good, I might not have bought my last car, an Accord V6 coupe. The Civic isnt as much car as the Accord, but its about $8,000 cheaper. Its also easier & more fun to drive in the city and much cheaper to operate - the Accord got 14 mpg in city driving, the Civic gets about 30.

  • Not my dream car- updated from 8/06 - 2006 Honda Civic

My 1st Honda-after 7mo, I like even less. Car struggles to change gears-told not fixable-electronic transmission. Learn to live with it. RPMs get stuck too high. If driving on bumpy road-car feels like it is thrown sideways out of control-especially on highway over 55 mph,-scary. If past miles the maint.minder scheduled oil change, each time cars started it blinks with the # of miles youre in arrears until you reset it until oils changed.(Maint. light on dash is enough).Drivers window now squeaks with window up/down.Brakes squeal with stop in rain.Car rattles like a car I drove over 90,000 mi.For all the Honda hype, Im sorry I traded in my old car. What did people drive b4 rating this car a 10?

  • Inventing the new future - 2006 Honda Civic

The first time I saw this car on the internet I realized that it was just the answer for the car I was looking for to buy. The first time I drove the civic just made me feel part of the future, full of inteligent concepts, all in one: high-tech, art, reliability, security, fun, eco- friendly and comfort. Ive bought a 4dr sedan w/nav system and Im more than happy. I highly recommend this car. However, theres just one thing I dislike of it. The single cd changer behind the nav screen, not because its behind, but because its just for one cd. Thats only one detail, and considering all the options to play audio data, and to discover multiple capabilities, the car just go forward.

Using a Chevy Avalance and driving 3000 miles a month had me on a first name basis with the gas attendant. When my gas bill hit over $400.00 a month I knew I had to do something. I started by looking at the Toyota Prius but found the local dealers a challenge to deal with. Not only was the wait for a Prius about 6 months they were not willing to negotiate price or configuration of the vehicles options. That led me to the Honda Civic Hybrid. It is easier to drive than the complicated Prius. It was less expensive to buy and in stock. Its an easy car to own. It has plenty of acceleration for big city driving.Chevron misses me.
