Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Enjoying the car. It is a unique driving experience. It is practical and sporty, refined and squirrelly. The car is not that common in the Monterey / SF Bay areas and gets noticed. It gets good gas mileage - is a low emission vehicle - and gets front wheel scratch. Steering is tight, the stick is trick, engine will pull, and it fits 4 adults comfortably for city rides.

I love this car, it is sporty and handles very well and the instrument panels with its back to the future speedomoter is very refreshing. I have found nothing that i dislike about this car the horepower is not too high but this car manages to boot at 60mph and the pickup from zero is decent as well. If you want to save gas and have a fun ride that is well worth the price then get it... I give it 10 thumbs up :)

Going from a 03 Civic hybrid to the 06 Civic EX was a dream... I actually only avg. 42-43 mpg on the hybrid and with the 06 EX on 12 gallons I traveled 460 miles with a 1.9 gal reserve as stated in the owners manual. Nav option not necessity.

A little on the expensive side but well worth it. best car in its class, hands down. and great resale value later. something you should remember. that always helps put money on the next car.

I got mine 3 weeks ago, and I am very happy with my choice, I only wish there was a lock for the glovebox, other than that, everything is great, the sunroof, the interior materials, the audio system. I look forward to my trip to New York, Ill drive all the way.

  • Beautiful - 1993 Honda Civic

I decided to alter the looks of my Hatch, by adding a xenon kit, clear lights and xenon bulbes all around, nitto low profile rubber on nice 16x7s, these are beautiful cars to do pretty much anything you want to, because there are so many options and they are very reliable, ive never seen one on the side of the highway.

Great fuel economy even for a lead foot. I drive 80 mph 195 mile round trip 5-6 days per week. The car has 207,000 miles. Just had second timing belt installed which included water pump, ouch $$$. The first time didnt include water pump. This vehicle still has the original brakes and clutch, so I’ve saved $$$ there. Suspension has been repaired with aftermarket parts, as further adjustment wasnt available to maintain camber. This car loves tires, Michelins have held up the best over firestone and Goodyear, so thats what I’ll put on next. At 65" 290 lbs I fit better than any other small car. A center armrest would have made this a luxury car for me.

  • Wont ever sell it - 1992 Honda Civic

I bought this car new when I was in college. Now, 10 years later and with a good job I still love it. Everyone I work with drives new SUVs, luxury sedans, or sport cars, but I enjoy driving my Civic. It has a solid feel, responsive handling, acceptable accelleration, and I like the styling (much less cheap looking than the new Civics). Plus, I dont feel nervous parking in D.C. or driving over potholes.

  • Good car but could be better - 2008 Honda Civic

Downsized from a Prius, payment too high. Leasing Civic for $199.00 per/mth. Civic an adequate replacement. Not the same mileage, but close. Civics’ sticker about $8,000 less than the Prius. Prius mpg 47-51 mpg. Civic is 29-41. Civics’ positives: great fuel economy 31-32 suburban, 38-41 on highway. Nice styling outside. Civic negatives: Roofline too low, hard to get in & out of and Im short. The seats are as hard as a park bench, most uncomfortable seats of any car I ever owned. Civic AC in Arizona summers sucks. AC cuts out by design during acceleration to save gas. Ride is too firm for my tastes.
