Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

I have owned this 1993 VX since 1997 and have put 305,000 miles on this incredible vehicle. I still have the ORIGINAL STARTER, CLUTCH, ENGINE, PISTONS AND RINGS. Constant oil changes and timing belt maintenance is the key.

Prior to this, I wouldve never considered owning any foreign car... Performance: This car is zippy, even if youre not hitting VTEC. It rockets, very quickly, to 60, and blows most competition away. Comfort: The pseudo-suede seats are comfortable, but I wish they offered a leather option. There is no lumbar support, which I really miss, though the height adjustment is a nice touch. The middle hump in the backseat is slightly uncomfortable. Economy: Good on gas at average 23/32, but requires premium fuel only. Fun to Drive: The best part. Amazing handling (second only to RX-8, that Ive driven), great road feel, smooth ride, tight, responsive steering. Amazing short throw shifter.

My grandmother purchased this loveable little car newin 1993. She loved it, and drove it everywhere. After her untimly passing, it was given to my father to commute to work in. I was always told this would one daybe my car, never believing ta it would survive that long. And here it is, 182,000 miles later, and its all mine!!

I bought my Honda 4 weeks ago. It is such a joy to drive it. I like the details featured inside. My daughter is very comfortable at the back seat. She can use the cup holders, and the pockets inside the doors, for keeping her small items in. I dont worry about her safety. We love our car.

Great car! Only complaint I have is that you feel EVERY little bump on the road, but I guess you would expect that with a 1850 pound car.

The Honda Civic Hybrid is Comfortable bu maintains a sporty feel. The fuel mpg was only 36.6 while breaking in but into a head wind for 330 miles the mpg was 46.6 and returning home for the same didtance with no wind either way the mpg jumped to 50.3. And heres the best part, the manual Hybrid was $20350 vs the prius @ 23400 for the same features. A no brainer cuzz the $3000 will pay for the gas for the life of the car. Am I happy I bought it? You BET. I got mine.

  • Only had this a couple of weeks but I love it! - 2017 Honda Civic

The touring is a great little car, for the short time I have had it. The only thing I dont like is with the all touch panel it is not easy to change the volume of the radio without inadvertently changing something else.

  • Corolla s plus to Civiic ex - 2016 Honda Civic

In todays era of energy efficient lighting Honda has not installed HID or LED headlights on this model but they did think enough to install LED running lights on the front that only makes you visible to others and does not help with actual lighting to see by. I traded a 2015 Corolla for the Civic EX which had GREAT lighting with LED headlights so I took a GIANT step backwards on lighting. Civic does seem to have a better ride and of course more power and better MPG with the 2.0L engine. The Civic EX interior fabric seems to be tarnished a bit already with only 3 weeks ownership @approximately 1000 miles. The arm rest on the doors is CLOTH the same as the seats and it appears to stain easily. The doors should have at least a vinyl covering at minimum in my opinion. Also during this same 3 weeks period I notice the rear glass developed a film of some sort that needed to be cleaned in order to see properly out of it without obscured vision. These are my observations in the 3 weeks I have owned this Civic EX.

  • good commuter - 2006 Honda Civic

I bought the hybrid to save on gas because I commute 41 miles each way on the L.A. freeways. I have been pleased with the mileage (about 43-44 mpg) plus in California I have received my exemption stickers that allow me to use the carpool lanes alone. This saves me over 30 minutes each way daily. My auto insurance also dropped significantly. Probably owing more to the change in cars (previous car - Subaru WRX). While the car is definitely not built for the fun factor that the WRX was, it is comfortable (except on potholes), has major safety features and great ergonomics.
