Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  Many people get caught up in the lure and appeal of exotic appearance, much like face powder in a world of cluelessness. But alas, there is hope. Hondas Civic line is superb. Honda has delivered a smart looking package, brilliant engineering, comfort, amenities, and the reliability that is beyond reproach. I have two new Civics - an EX and a Hybrid. They are wonderful and best of all is knowing that like my Hondas in the past I am good for 150,000 to 200,000 miles without a worry in the world. Thanks Honda. As for drivers of mega-Detroit wheels, please tune in - and - get it. It makes a difference in your total cost of ownership, the fuel bills, and the replacement cycle. Look, buy, relax.

  First Honda Ownership - 2008 Honda Civic

  This is my first Honda vehicle and so far it has been a great pick. I picked the 2008 Honda Civic because it has great features. My last car was a 2002 Chrysler Sebring (what a mess!!). After driving a Chrysler Sebring, I wanted a car that was dependable; especially after dealing with the transmission problems for five years. I searched several nights on the internet about Honda products and have seen great comments about their products. So, there I was on a Honda dealership lot and I know I have made a great choice. The only problems I have so far, is the key not having the trunk release button on it and for some reason when the windows are down, the air is not circulating properly.

  As a previous VW Passat owner, I cant get past the solid build quality of the Civic. Great gas mileage, fun to drive, very supportive seats, and attractive styling all make this car a great value. I wouldnt trade this for the Passat even if I could afford the maintenance. The clutch is easy to get used to and a joy to drive. The peppy engine is great for getting around in the city- not to mention, parking!

  I am so upset with my Civic ex!! Bumper are loose and hanging down now. When i drive, its also a rattle box that drive me nut..!!. To make it worse,I paid top dollar for this overpriced junk... Honda? Not for me anymore.

  Honda for the youth - 2003 Honda Civic

  This is one of the best vehicle that Honda has produce. It light with a strong engine. The Honda Civic Si is a superior vehicle compare to it competitor. This car has live up to what Honda known for performance and excellent handling. This car is fun to drive.

  we were not impressed at first with the automatic transmission civic. it had no pep when trying to get on the highway. The service advisor told us to try one with manual. We are glad he did as we now have one thanks to him.

  This is a great car! I prefer a manual transmission, and I was happy to see that it was available in a middle of the line vehicle. I test drove a CVT version of EX-T and I liked it. I told the dealer Id prefer a manual and they located one for me. When I got to drive the manual version, it felt much lighter, and felt like it had a lot more power than the CVT version! It snowed in my area the day after I purchased the vehicle and this car did great in the snow and ice without traction devices! I think that the manual transmission gives me a lot more control and that with front wheel drive really helps in snow/ice conditions. I am impressed with the interior of the car, the controls, and the information/entertainment display. I use Andriod Auto and that allows me to use Google Maps on the cars display, use Pandora or other apps, take/make phone calls, get weather reports, and other information through my phone on the cars display, or with automated voice! I really like the camera mounted on the passenger side mirror, when I turn on the right turn signal the camera shows me whats on that side of the car eliminating any blind spot! I highly recommend this car, I think the EX-T is the best value in the Civic line, and I would buy it again! Accessories I got include All season floor mats, 2 cargo hooks, trunk tray, body side molding, wheel locks, illuminated interior, and rear bumper applique.

  Love this car but owners manual is not clear on oil change miles. This is a well tuned machine.

  Bought the car on Dec 20, 2007. I was actually planning on purchasing the galaxy grey one but, for some reason the black just completely caught my eyes. Ive had the car for a couple of months now and can honestly tell you guys that there are no problems whatsoever to report. This is my very first car and the experience by far has been absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone!

  Great Car - 2006 Honda Civic

  I love my honda civic. The ride is very smooth. The gas mileage is wonderful ( 30 town / 40 highway). This car is very fun to drive around town. The ex is worth the extra money to get get all the extra options. Honda is the most reliable car I have ever owned. I traded this honda for a bmw, then went and got my honda back.
