Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Practical and Practically Perfect - 2007 Honda Civic

I love my 2007 Civic EX (as much, if not more than my previous 1986 and 1998 models). Civics are well made, and the 2007 model has improved handling, better safety features, and excellent gas mileage. The sleek style makes it a handsome car to look at too ("pretty" for the ladies) Theyre great on short trips to the grocery store and on weekend road trips. I can fill up the tank in Miami on a Friday morning, drive to Orlando without stopping, and still have half a tank of gas left when I get there. Ill drive around Orlando all weekend and wont need to refuel until Im halfway back to Miami. Thats great mileage. It translates into great value.

  • Best Car Ever - 1993 Honda Civic

I bought this car with roughly 88000 miles, and now have around 115000. I paid around $4500. For a kid making 7 dollars an hour it took a lot of work before I could afford it and Im glad to say it was worth every penny. The gas mileage is amazing doing speeds around 80-85 I still get roughly 36 mpg. For a first car, or just in the need of something realible, this is the car. The only work needed is required maintence, and one or two little things. The car has never failed me and has never left me on the side of the road. The handling is exceptionally sporty and extremly confident handling in turns.

  • Great Metro Car - 2001 Honda Civic

Reliable, efficient, fun to drive - roomier than earlier Civics. The car is perfect for the daily drives, trips to the store, school, work, etc. The driver has the most fun, especially with the 5 speed. Love that 2nd gear. BUT, not the best car for long trips. Noisy with a firm, busy ride. Itll storm a long at 85, but you cant hear the radio, and the old backside begins to tire too quickly from feeling every wrinkle in the asphalt.

  • As Expected.... Excellence! - 2002 Honda Civic
    By -

Wow, Im impressed! A lot of my friends drive Honda Civics and they have had no problems at all with them. My former Oldsmobile gave me a lot of financial burden. The 2002 Honda Civic is a BLESSING! My dealer also sold it to me for $14,450. What a bargain for a reliable, quick, fun to drive, economic, and durable car. An investment not to pass up!

  • this has been a GREAT car - 1997 Honda Civic

This car has been perfect for me. It is now going on 6 years old, and so far I have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS with it, not even minor ones! And I just passed 80,000 miles! Often times I will drive this car 1,000 miles in one weekend, and its held up just fine and I never worry about it. If you want a dependable, low-maintenance car, get a Honda. They will last forever and are a great investment.

  • THE BEST RIDE ON THE HIGHWAY - 2017 Honda Civic

Purchased a 2017 Honda Civic....it was my second one due to the first 2004 Civic being totaled in an auto accident. My, how things have changed over the years. I loved my 2004 Civic, but I guess all things works for the good. The 2017 Civic is more than I could ask for in an automobile.

  • If your tall, get a chiropractor - 2017 Honda Civic

This is my 5th Civic. The Lumbar is killing me on my daily 88 mile roundtrip commute. There is no adjustment on the LX seats. I traded a 2012 Civic and had no problems with it. I am 62, 185 pounds. Shorter people have tried my car with no issues. My son has a 2007 Civic with no problems. I may have to trade cars with him. The power, ride, steering are a step up from the 2012 LX. Materials are also much better. The center console is quite large, and stuff gets lost under the sliding cupholder. The center guage is to cluttered. The EX is much better desighn. The LX guage must have been an afterthought. The stereo is also inferior to my previuos 2009, and 2012. No midrange. I would recommend taking this car on a long ride before you buy. Maybe find one to rent. As much as I love Honda, I will have to look elsewhere.

  • 2 problems - 2007 Honda Civic

This Civic (07 Lx coupe, 5 speed trans) is fun to drive, peppy, has no problems handling the Ozark mountains, at or above the speed limits. Is stylish gets very good gas mileage, but the seats headrest sticks out to much and always seems to bump into the back of my head. Also the a/c vent for the driver is almost directly behind the steering wheel which blows cold air onto your hand. 2 very minor things. You get a great little car for a reasonable price
