Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Great and dependable car. Awesome gas mileage!!! Only problem has been with the drivers door not shutting tightly. I would highly recommend this car, especially if you are trying to save at the gas station. I average 36 mpg here in Indianapolis.

  • Why not perfect - 2006 Honda Civic

The car is good. I dont understand that a car maker with so much experience has not realized that the headroom is too low. They improved to make the car wider and longer, but failed to recognize to improve on the headroom like Toyota and other car manufacturers did. Thats too bad , because now we have to wait another 10 years for the next model change.

This is my 7th Honda I have owned and already love it. I sold my 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5SL for this car. I was not happy with the Nissan and did not like the 28 MPG on a 4 cyl engine. The bottom line is Nisaans are not Hondas.

bought car with 9k and 10years and 227000 miles later lost it to a rear- end collision. Never a problem with it, maintenance was minimal/routine/cheap. Fantastic fuel economy: always 40-44mpg mixed city/hwy, even after 200,000+miles! Inside and out stayed looking great.

New Car only 500 miles, exciting design, much better looking that 2005 model. I hope will perform up to the brand name. So farÂ… excellent car. Two thumbs up!

Everything about this vehicle is excellent: performance, mileage, comfort, reliability. The technology is especially impressive and we are hoping that Honda will create useful SUV class vehicles with hybrid technoloies that would be applicable to our field work, which is extensive. B. Krause

  • Hooked on Hondas - 2003 Honda Civic

Exceptional value for price of the car. Very reliable and quality build. Fourth time Honda owner and will never leave the Honda Family. Love to drive and pass by gas stations. Got the 1.9 percent financing for 60 months. That was just icing on the cake for me. Had a wonderful experience with the dealership. Always recommend Hondas to friends and family. Never knew I would own a Civic after driving Preludes for many years. Drive 25 miles one way to work each day. Very impressed with this Civic.

  • Loving my car - 2005 Honda Civic

I purchased civic EX speical edition. this car is rare...so the dealers try to play with the price...by saying it is rare. But, only $200 MSRP difference gets you a leather stripped steering wheel, a rear spoiler, very nice alloy wheels, and an AWESOME looking 6 disc in dash MP3 player~~~~after driving smooth Camry V6 for years. I wanted to buy this car because of the look and the fuel economy. Overall, Im very happy with this car.

Great to drive... isnt sporty, but the reliablity and fuel economy makes up for the weak acceleration. I love the front design... the car looks like it is smiling at me everytime I see it. I would recommend this car to anyone who do not like high maintains or costs to run it (20 dollars for a full tanks ~ 400 miles). The driving it very smooth, I like how the wheel is not too tight but tight enough to give the driver a feel for the road. The car is great for teenagers like me, who need to get places without the worry that the car will breakdown. I love the envy I get from people and since the cost is low, I think more people are able to afford this car. The side airbag is an added perk.....
