Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Our 15th Honda Vehicle! A+A+A+ - 2006 Honda Civic

Between my son and I, this is our familys 15th Honda Product since 1986. This is our first Civic and we absolutely love it! It is fun to drive, great fuel stats and the best looking interior and exterior of any vehile that we have seen. We plan on buying a SUV before the end of the year and we are considering only a Honda product. My son needs a vehicle to carry his Mobility Power Chair, so he is considering either the CRV or Pilot as his next purchase. The quality and reliability of Honda remains impecable, and once you own one, youll own another, and so on, and so on, etc... Keep up the great product and youll keep us as a customer for life!!! We spread the good word everywhere!

  • Cant expect any more! - 2008 Honda Civic

Ive owned this car for only a few weeks now, but im absolutely in love with it. Im not a "car person" by any stretch of the imagination. My previous car was a 95 Honda Accord and after 240,000 miles, I needed a replacement. I looked exclusively at Honda and Toyota for a new, inexpensive alternative, and stuck with Honda because it was simply a better value and a prettier car.

  • New 08 Honda Civic Hybrid with Nav - 2008 Honda Civic

With the gas price rocketing and the need of replacing my 02 Land Rover Freelander I decided to go for a hybrid. Decided quickly to go for the Honda Civic for a simple reason. I have long legs and I couldnt fit in the Prius. The Prius steering is not telescopic. The 08 Honda Civic Hybrid is great, I decided to get the nav which is by the way a great system very easy to use and the system even understand my foreign accent (french). Because of my back problems I needed to get a very comfortable car. The freelander was comfortable, the Civic is even more comfortable. The seats and the driving position are great. The gas mileage is excellent 44 MPG for combine driving.

  • Probably the best compact car ever made! - 1994 Honda Civic

I purchased my civic coupe in 1998 with 60,000 km on it and now in 2003 it has about 270,000 km. I have performed regular maitenance and have never had a najor problem except having to replace the oxygen sensor. My only regret is not buying a manual tranny instead of the automatic. Nevertheless, I plan to drive it for atleast another 40,000 km and then I will probably buy a used 1998-99 civic coupe.

No dragstrip performance, but what can be expected at a fantastic 50 mpg? Never any problems with anything only requires normal maitenance. Best car Ive ever owned.

My last car was a Hyundai Accent, so my Civic was quite a step up. I love my car. That said, there have been a few problems. The mileage was initially appalling. Used to getting 42mpg from a car only supposed to get 37, I thought the Civic would at least match it. After starting at 29, it was a slow climb to the lower thirties for 50/50 highway/city driving. Im currently faring much better - sometimes 40 mpg highway. Mixed driving around 35-37, suburban/highway. Some trouble starting occasionally last winter. Dealer said it was normal for a Civic. The 100,000 mile Hyundai did better, so I found that a bit scary - or flat untrue.

I love this car, no complaints at all. This car is great. But my only concern is the exterior design,02 is not really bad at all, but would rather prefer 00(s) exterior design. I also have a 00 EX coupe and I love the exterior. Would recommend it to every body who likes value and reliability.

I fell inlove with this car. Everything is working great. Reliable ,love the overall quality. Eye catching,I will never drive any other car except honda(s). I have a 5sp honda and Im really having fun driving it(smooth shifting), ABS works excellent. I like the exterior and interior design of this car(very roomy), but I prefer 99 and 00 when it comes to exterior.

  • Easy on the wallet - 2004 Honda Civic

I bought my Honda Civic DX after driving the same Explorer for the last 13 years. I wanted a good car a fair price, dependability, good safety rating and somthing that would be comfortable for a family of 5 to buzz around town in. I was very impressed with the mileage...I went 450 miles, before I had to refuel. THe 2 drawbacks to the car have been road noise above 60 mph and a vibration type sound coming from the drivers door around the mirror area...cant figure it out. Overall it is a wonderful ride. I will take it in a have Honda check it out.
