Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Fabulous New Civic-- MUST BUY - 2006 Honda Civic

This is my third and by far most favorite Civic that I have ever owned. I owned a 97, and 04 and my current 06. There is absolutely no comparison to the previous models. Honda has really outdone themselves with the 2006 Civic Coupe. This car is packed with features and a fit and finish that puts competition in the same class to shame! I have had so much attention from people at the car wash, gas station, and drivers on the road wondering what my car is. This is definitely not like its stodgy predecessor!

  • Better than expected - 2007 Honda Civic

When I first drove the hybrid, I expected it to be less powerful than a regular Civic. I was pleasantly surprised that it feels just as powerful to drive. A lot of new features in this years model.

Nice solid car. Great road feel and fantastic gas mileage. Beautiful paint job and functional interior instrumentation. Nice smooth shifting transmission and the CD sound system is killer. Best car Ive had.

I got my first Honda and drove home from the dealership in 4 inches of snow...Michigan weather. It was a test that showed me how the car handles. Great manuverability in changing lanes on slippery, wet roads, the ABS kicked in. Good stopping at lights and great acceleration and traction on turns. All the while my kids slept comfortably in the back seat. Performed admirably...I give it an A-1 and Ive driven a lot of cars over the years.

Ive had my Honda Civic for a month and a half. So far Ive put 5000 miles on it simply because I can. Its fuel economy is excellent and its a smooth, comfortable, and very quiet car. I also like the styling. The interior is very unique. I like the reaction from people when they see the dash and gauges. I also like the fact that Honda Civics last longer than most cars out there, and they also hold their value.

Car sales are slow, the buyer can make incredible deals. Edmunds TMV is the sticker price. I purchased this car for about $1700 less than sticker. I got price quotes from 4 dealers in the DFW area (there are @30 dealers in this area). After visiting each of the four dealerships, I sent an email out with the best offers to all 4. Within hours of the email, I got competitive responses from 3 of the dealers. The 4th dealer did not even try to compete and would only go as "low" as the sticker price. It has plenty of power and rides great on the interstate. I drive 50 miles one way to work and the car rides smoothly, and has great visibility.

  • What a car! - 2016 Honda Civic

Ive had my Rally Red EX Trubo sedan for a little over three months. We just took it on a 2500 mile trip across several states. As a result, I have to write something in praise of this car. Ive owned Civics in the past, and this car is nothing like them. It is much roomier. It is quieter. It is smoother. It is more comfortable. It is much quicker. And the economy is incredible. I specifically wanted the turbo as in the past Honda has tried to compensate for under-powered cars by using the transmission to downshift. But now, the turbo kicks in when you need it. I set the cruise for 75 mph and we pulled long steep mountain passes (6%+ grade) without breaking a sweat (didnt have to turn off the air conditioner, didnt have to downshift, just a slight increase in rpms). All the while averaging over 45 mpg for the entire 2500 miles (one tank was 49 mpg - but we had a tailwind). The climate control was flawless keeping us completely comfortable at high mountain altitudes down to high temperature plains. The only word I can use to describe this trip in this car is AMAZING!! And I dont write many reviews of anything, but I thought people ought to know that Honda has knocked it completely out of the park with this car. Ive driven other competitors to this car as rental cars, and while I have enjoyed them and found them very nice (GM, Ford, Nissan), this little Honda is the total package. The only place they missed was badging it as a turbo, and putting chrome tips on the dual exhaust out the bumper in the back. I have always been impressed by the reliability of the Hondas I have owned and I expect no less from this beauty. You can buy or lease this car with total confidence and you are going to have a great ride with outstanding economy at a very attractive price. Dont hesitate!
