Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • An awsome vehicle . . . - 2003 Honda Civic

We recently bought this car (actually an 02, but it is virtually identicle), it is an excellent transport. Compared to our 99 saturn sl, this car is quieter, roomier and much faster. The shifter and clutch are amazing, and the car handles well. I have two complaints. For a 64" driver, there is not enough headroom (I have a moon roof). Also, there is a little too much assist with the power steering.

This is my third civic. I must say that this one is my favorite. I have had the car for 10 days and have put nearly 1k miles on the odometer and the gas mileage is dead on. The comfort over my previous 04 model is greatly improved due to longer wheel base especially over bumps. The front seats appear to have more legroom which is always nice. Overall I am very satisfied with my car. I got a great deal on my new car and my last Civic a 2004 EX sedan with 52K miles only depreciated $3k. I have been able to trade about every 3 year and get a new car. I love the low depreciation, reliability, overall spunkiness and quality that I have not been able to find elsewhere.

  • My 4th Honda, not my last!!!! =O) - 1993 Honda Civic

My 93 civic sedan is my fourth honda and i love it! My last one i put 238K miles on it, this one has 163K and still runs great! Unlike ANY DOMESTIC vehicle, this car still has no squeeks, rattles or odd end broken stuff. My mom and 2 sisters have hondas now due to how well mine have lasted. Honda is ALL i will EVER drive!

  • Best Civic Coupe ever - 2016 Honda Civic
    By -

Pros: - great MPG, mine average is 37 for NYC-NJ-LI; - coupe looks very good - people are still staring and asking about the car; - acceleration, especially in Sport mode; - fun to drive. Cons: - constant issues with Android Auto on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Im an IT guy and still cant make it work properly. - CVT is not smooth. When I slow down fast almost to stop and then release brake (mostly in traffic) - feels like stroke in CVT. Audis 1.8T 2004 CVT feels much better that Civic 1.5T 2016 - manual front seats for EX-L? come on, its 2016

  • More Bang for your Buck - 1997 Honda Civic

With 140 horsepower stock, you can easily upgrade to over 200, and not have to worry about gas prices, or wether or not its going to start every time.

  • Perfect Car - 1995 Honda Civic

I couldnt be more happy with my Civic. It is a blast to drive and looks excellent. The car has 94000+ miles on it and has never had any of the original parts replaced! It is excellent on gas. Went 313 miles on one full tank of 87 unleaded. Parts are cheap as is the maintanence. I have a 5spd manual and the throttle delivery is fine on freeways. Enjoy your Honda. It wont treat you bad. Just watch out for shady salesmen and get a good clean, mechanically sound car no matter what you buy.

  • I just like hachbacks - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

I started out convinced that id never like a japanese car. I was in the market for a sub-compact hachback, so i gave it a test drive. My whole outlook on japanese cars changed that day. The Civic SiR (Civic Si in america) hase a very nice short throw "raly style" shifter and exelent throtle response. It corners as if on rails and sports some of the best front seats in any car. The sterio is quite impresive for a facory unit, the rear seat is surprisingly roomy. All in all: this is one sweet ride.

  • this is an economy car? - 2003 Honda Civic
    By -

800 miles on the odometer and I am still smiling everytime I drive this car. The suspension is a bit harsh on NYC streets, but then again what suspension isnt in this city? Im really impressed with how the car feels so connected to the road. Ive driven other econoboxes before (Corolla, Impreza) and none of them have the same "feel". The front seats are second only to the ones found in more expensive German models.

  • SI really buitl European - 2003 Honda Civic

Excellent car. I wish I could say the same for the dealership, Brad Barker in Bloomington, Il. My experience is they are very dishonest and the used car sales manager has a temper like I have never seen from a professional.
