Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Very noisy and rattles constantly. Heat and air dont work well. Does not get very good gas mileage like they claim. Carpet coming away from door panels, exposing "shell." Good things: the rear- end is hard to mess up. I have been "rear-ended" twice and there are only scratches.

My previous car was a Dodge Neon coupe, which is quicker than my new Honda civic coupe but the civic is a lot more refined, much better built and looks great. It can easly hold 4 adults with baggage and gives better fuel economy than the Neon. This car is also very reliable.

the engine turns off when the car is still, so when you are parallel parking on a hill the car stalls and rolls.

Fernandez Honda is a new dealership in San Antonio, TX. They have a very professional establishment. I did a lot of research prior to buying the car and did very little negotiating. I set a price and stuck with it. The facility has free internet, popcorn, vending and movies availiable if you need any maintenance. A+ for the management.

I purchased a the si on 9/27/04 it was a beautiful vivid blue pearl color with swade leather interior. It is hard to find a dealer with one in stock . I liked the handling, performance of the car. It does great on wet rainy days, had good pickup when passing cars and very smooth when shifting gears. I love the car and it handles great on curvy roads. It is allot of fun to drive and gets good gas milage. when i bought the car it had 27 miles on it now it has almost 1300 miles and i have averaged 30mpg with mostly city driving.Being 6ft1 i was surprised at how much room was in the car with plenty of head and leg room. The moonroof was nice being motorized with a tilt function. its a good car

  • GREAT CAR! - 2003 Honda Civic

The Honda Civic Hybrid is great. The gasmilage is woderful and Im glad honda made a nicer looking hybrid car. The Insight, I heard was great, but it is ugly. This car is not the most powerful but gas milage makes up for it. My local dealership has great service and I hope to buy an Accord hybird in 2005. I dont understand about the complaints about the 10k mile check ups. The check-ups are routine on ALL Hondas. Even my 2000 Accord LX.

  • Great car for the money - 2005 Honda Civic

This is the 5th Honda Ive owned, and the 15th one for my family. Like the others, this one is well built, reliable, comfortable, attractive and I know itll hold its value when its time for another one.

Bought a 157k miles 98 LX from the 2nd owner who doesnt know what car maintenance means. She paid for all the quickie oil changes but the original timing belt is still there after 157k miles. Goes to tell you how amazing the car is built. Anyway, I bought it cheap and spent $800 on a major service including new timing belt, fan belt, water pump, etc... The transmission also did not get a fluid change in the last 135k miles!!! With a little TLC, this car will drive beyond 200k miles.

  • Cheaper gas - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

It is a great car but so far the MPG hasnt been quite as good as the said it would be but way better than anything else on the market and at $3 a gallon gas, that goes a long way. Hard to get used to the fact it is so quiet, feels like it dies all the time, rather neat
