Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

This is the second time I have leased a civic and I have enjoyed the cars. They are very depandable, and most important to me they do not waste a lot of gas. If you are looking for a small, inexpensive, nice looking car.....this is the car for you.

I have an automatic and I must say that it is a great car to drive around town. It is compact and easy to drive. It gets great gas mileage and it has enough room inside for the size of the car.

My Honda Civic is the best car I ever owned. In 1989, I bought a Honda Accord, and had it til 1999. It had 237 thousand miles on it, and was in perfect condition. My Civic will last me 12 years.

car is NICE, very fast, very silent, fun to drive. although is very well built, some of the interior moldings and panels come loos or dont fit perfectly. i am not sure if it is only my car, or an engineering flaw. otherwise, i have no complaints on this car.

i bought a honda becuase i thought i could reley on it to provide me with good transproation. i bought the highest grade model, and things just started going wroge within two weeks of my car off the lot. my electircal system had to be completely rewired, my head had to be replaced, and my transmission was less than satisfactory. after two montehs with this car, i left my civic crap for a new cavalier, which has been much more reliable, and saved me about 3000 dollars, even after the hondas bills.

Car was bought brand new 2 months ago. Already had to have weather stripping fixed and now paint is cracking and coming off all over. Dealership claims it is environmental wear and tear and that Honda uses inferior paint and advised me to claim it on my car insurance. With a $1000 deductible and no proximate cause except a manufacturing defect, their suggestion does not sound like a good idea.

This was the first car I ever bought. I bought it used, off a Honda Dealer and I got to say, so far, its been the best decision Ive made! It is great on fuel, it looks great and it is very reliable. I just make sure I get oil changes every 3-4k miles, and its good to go. Since Ive owned it, all that has need replaced are "wear and tear" items, such as brakes, tires, muffler, battery. The exterior still looks great - my car is black, and there are no rust spots, or chips in the paint - its still has the glossy finish.

I bought my Honda LX 4 door with 55,000 miles on it.I now have over 340,000 miles on it. I maintain car as recommended. It does not consume/burn any oil. The last two sets of tires averaged 75,000 miles due to me not rotating them regularly. I have not yet had to replace the clutch or shock absorbers. I have had to replace the front brake rotors on two different occasions due to warpage and have had to replace the distributor and the alternator. This has been a phenomenally reliable and inexpensive car to own. I am wondering how many miles I can get on this engine. Has anyone heard of a Civic engine with more than 340,000 miles on it?
