In typical Honda fashion, the Civic receives a number of minor changes this year in order to keep it fresh. For the coupe and sedan, there's new exterior styling, including restyling for the front and rear bumpers, hood, headlights and grille. Inside, the audio speakers have been upgraded, extra sound deadening material has been added and floor mats are now standard in the LX and EX. The LX trim has slightly bigger wheels this year (15 inches) and standard keyless entry. A new value package contains air conditioning, a CD player and a new center console. For the Si hatchback, there are new headlight and taillight designs, larger 16-inch wheels and flashier interior trim. Like the regular sedan, the Civic Hybrid has updated styling, standard floor mats and improved speakers. It also has a new interior console with an armrest, adjustable rear headrests and a manual driver-seat height adjuster. Finally, all 2004 Honda Civic sedans and coupes have a new seatbelt reminder system.

Best all around value - 2004 Honda Civic
By Siconvert - May 13 - 10:00 amMy wife and I live in Atlanta and probably dont fall into the target market for this car: Mid 40s, No kids, Annual income 150+, conservative. However, we love this car. We were looking for an "Anti-Atlanta" car (e.g., BMW, Mercedes, Lexus). We wanted a Prius but with an 18 month waiting list...couldnt touch it! This car is a great car, fun to drive, comfortable, stylish, and a great vaue (paid $17,100). You have to wonder how people pay $30,000+ for cars!

Cant beat it - 2004 Honda Civic
By Asti - May 7 - 8:51 pmBought the car used, only 16k...Had the gas tank filled up twice, and both times I averaged 49.6 mpg. It probably would have worse gas mileage if driven harder, but I cannot complain about what I get (is a 5 speed one). It would be nice if would have a little more oomph, but...then no mileage. Nice piece of machinery and technology, I enjoy getting almost 600 miles per tank, happy with the residual value down the road...

By zanoomac - May 4 - 1:31 amWhat you should know. First the car is a blast to drive. I have driven RSXs, Mazda 3s, and Corollas. The SI is my favorite to drive. It handles well and the rally shifter helps make you feel like you are in control on your car. The SI transmission is touchy so you have to master it but when you do driving it becomes even better. Acceleration is moderate, although when you hit about 40mph then the car goes. Its roomy for a small car, people sit back there and always tell me how comfy and how much leg space is back there. Plus the seats in the back come down for when you want to transport a lot of your junk. And trust me I have done that a lot. All in all a great car almost about to hit 60000.

So Far 92000 Miles and 0 Problems - 2004 Honda Civic
By fredericktoo - April 22 - 8:19 pmI bought my 04 Civic VP new and no problems. Gas Mileage is better than advertised - I get about 42 mpg highway. Drive it 70 miles per day and has never let me down. All it needs is scheduled maint. This is the best car I have ever owned. My next car is probably going to be Honda Fit or the New Civic. This Civic wont need a tune up until 110K Miles.

By GoodHonda - April 17 - 2:00 amBought my 04 Honda Civic EX yesterday in Nighthawk Black and it is to die for. They had one with leather but I left it there and got cloth instead. First civic I had seen with leather. I love the way it looks in black and I love that the Alloy wheels are standard on the EX! Cute little car for the price but beware the option lady who will visit you and all the options look wonderful but the prices arent. (6 disc in-dash changer)!

Great Gas Mileage - 2004 Honda Civic
By MeMyselfAndI - April 5 - 10:00 amMy husband gets over 45 MPG with this car on average, and this is with automatic transmission. The car comes with many things that are extra on other cars, such as cruise control, a CD player, and has the great safety feature of sideair bags. Highly recommend.

Love my Honda - 2004 Honda Civic
By jenleechang - April 1 - 1:07 pmIve had my Civic for 4 full years now and Ive NEVER had any problems with it. The only time Ive ever had to take it to the shop is to get an oil change. Its the most comfortable car youll ride in - everything is designed conveniently and easy to use. I think the Civic has better mpg than a lot of hybrids. My payments were less than $200/month, and I just finished paying it off 2 months ago. Its the best car Ive ever had and I plan on driving it for at least another 4-5 years.

I just traded in my 99 Nissan Altima for a 2004 Honda Civic LX sedan and I LOVE IT. I cannot stress what a good value this car is. The body style is very European and the inside will remind you of a pricer Volkswagen Jetta! I recommend this car to anyone that is serious about style and value!
