Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Incredibly impressed with this car. Thought I was buying an economy, dull car. This car drives like a formula one sports car. Great on gas, handles like a dream, roomy for such a small car.

The car still may be old, but the suspension is top-notch! Suspension tuning is easy, and improves the cars stability greatly. The motor runs and puts out a good ammount of power considering it is a 1.5L motor, but runs best with out the air box. Just tape the filter to the top of the intake piping.

This car offers a great deal for your money. Its not the fastest on the road, but its a real treat to drive. The build quality is top notch. It drives very different from other cars Ive owned...you must get up to about 6000 RPM to tap into the real power. But once you do, it really takes off. This car is a good compromise for someone wanting a sports car and a small family car.

  • What was i thinking purchasing a mazda? - 2006 Honda Civic

Traded in my Mazda RX8, fully loaded, for 06 Civic EX coupe and absolutely LOVE IT!! What was I thinking buying a Mazda in the first place? My previous two cars were Honda and I loved them (both had over 150k mi. after I sold them). I thought Mazda wouldnt be much different - WRONG! I actually have more fun driving my new Civic! Can you say mechanical harmony?! And it cruises at 85 quietly and smoother than rx8.

  • Good little car - 1995 Honda Civic

I have owned this car for 8 years now, and it has served me well. It is a very reliable car. It never left me stranded anywhere. Its a great car for a single person, or small family. I now have two children and the back seat is just too small for a family to find comfortable.

  • Awesome Car - 2008 Honda Civic

After months of test drives and research, the Civic is far and away better than anything else in this segment. As a commuter car, nothing beats the Civic. I dont know why some people complain about ride quality on the highway. I had to push it to 90 mph until it got a little choppy. Its got to be one of the safest cars on the road with dual airbags and side curtain airbags. The little extras like the oil change percentage, outside temp. gauge, adjustable armrest are what puts this car into a league of its own!

  • A Little Disappointed - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

I previously owned a 2004 manual Civic, which was a fantastic car that never had any problems. But Ive had number of small problems with my 2007 Civic in just the first 18 months of ownership, and I fear these are signs of larger problems down the road. The A/C broke, driver-side sun visor broke, water-pump had a recall and needed to be replaced, and the car almost didnt start after sitting for just two days recently in 30 degree weather. I plan to trade this car within the next month or so.

  • Honda Civic Sedan EX - 2004 Honda Civic
    By -

I have been pleasantly surprized by this honda civic sedan ex, its acceleration has been better than I thought it would be and milage is better than 32mpg. It feels good inside and is not as noisy as some econo cars that I test drove. Overall better than a 30+mpg car should feel. I am very pleased.
