The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Great Car for young people - 1996 Honda Civic
By Cinnie - September 24 - 2:00 amI bought this car in 1998, and it has been wonderful. I never had any real problems with it, just upkeep, and gas. Although when I had a baby in 2001, it became very apparent that it wasnt a family vehicle. No room in the back for her now that she is 2, her feet have to rest on the seats, and I have to pull my seat up closer to the steering wheel, so I cant drive comfortably. If you are single, with no children, this is a great car!!!!

Frustrating technology - 2016 Honda Civic
By Andrew - September 23 - 9:55 amI had the Touring 6 months 5 K miles and was frustrated by the tech system used. The Bluetooth rarely understood commands, dropped my phone continuously, did not have my phonebook most of the time , rebooted itself, just pure frustration. My wife did not like to noise or seat comfort. Body parts not fitted well. On the good side it got great MPG, looked good, handles well But the turbo lag along with the CVT was frustrating as well, try to get out into traffic was waiting a second till the turbo spools up along with the CVT stunk . Traded it in 9 weeks ago and the dealer is still sitting on it as they lower the price weekly.

By drs00 - September 22 - 8:40 pmI was looking to get an end of the year deal on an Accord EX; but after I saw, then drove the Civic, it felt more comfortable and I thought it looked bad. I love how it looks everytime I get out of it. There are some drawbacks, and the folks here have hit them on the head. Gas mileage for me is way lower than advertised, both City & Hwy - around 20-24city & 26-31Hwy; XM Ready means little; I got XM Hardware after the sale (Handa.com) for $375+$150 install at AudioExpress; still pricey for XM. E-Brake is annoying, esp if you are taller than 6, rear visibility is not great, but remember, its a coupe (you can always get the sedan). All in all, love the car, good pep (not great)

fun to drive - 2005 Honda Civic

By Paul Sevick - September 22 - 6:20 amIf you are looking for a reliable, affordable, sporty compact sedan look no further. The new redesign on the 2016 Civic is absolutely stunning! Hard to believe what options you get for the money, have the EX model and it pretty much has everything you would and then some. Looks way more expensive than it is, drives smooth and handles like a sports car, great acceleration with the 2.0L engine, super comfortable, tons of options, zero complaints on this vehicle.

Worth every penny... - 1994 Honda Civic

LOADS OF FUN FOR A SMALL PRICE!!!!!!! - 1992 Honda Civic
By Stedman05 - September 21 - 2:00 amI love it. It has great handling, acceleration for a car w/ a 102hp, lots of cargo room, cool looks, and GREAT mpg. The car looks great for a 92 w/ a simple yet sporty design. The acceleration is great especially w/ the 5-spd. The seats are great. They have lots of side bolstering for hips, ribs, and a little for shoulders. They have great lumbar support too. The handling is great. You dont have to worry about hitting anyone in parking lots. I would suggest getting one without PS, because you get a better feel of the road. Dont forget the 35/40 mpg you get with the car. If you want a cool little car but on a budget, this is the car for you.

Excellent Car - 2006 Honda Civic
By Mozzer - September 20 - 10:46 pmI had been looking into this car for a while now and when I was emailed that they had arrived at the dealers I went to the dealership right away. The cabin is really quiet, which I love, and very comfortable. The displays aver very futuristic. It has 110 HP which is enough for regular driving in the city and highway. Ive owned it for about a week and a half and my avg gas with this car is around 40mpg, not bad considering I drove and Acura RSX Type S that gave me half of that. The car is stylish and I love how it turns the engine off every time I stop at a red light or stop sign to save me gas. I dont regret trading in my Acura for this one. This one is a keeper.

Laughable Build Quality - 2008 Honda Civic
By Patrick - September 20 - 8:00 amI bought this 2008 Honda Civic Ex brand new. Although the gas mileage is great I was averaging 33 mpg. Everything else about this car is horrible. I have been to the dealer countless times to fix suspension issues and rattles all over the car pretty much everywhere from the moon roof to the dash and pillars. The car only has 13k miles and most of the tire tread is gone. Also the road noise is really bad.
