Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Honda came out with a fix for the transmission issue on the 06 -08 civic si. I had to call American Honda in order to get the people at Honda to service my car. So people who owns a si, please contact your dealer and hopefully this is a recall.

Perhaps a little expensive for a Civic, but once you drive it, you completely forget. Its a super fun to drive pocket rocket that looks awesome and works great as a daily driver.

Drive it gently and hold your speed down to never more than 65 on any roadway including interstates (hard to do) and you will see mileage in the 60s and occasionally even slightly over 70. Honda, you did a wonderful job with this vehicle - but many are complaining about low mileage because they drive it like an Acura TL. I like to call my new driving style "Priest in a Funeral" - or PIF for short. Im a happy camper. Design flaws? 1. Emergency brake handle placement 2. Sun visors that wont slide when moved to the side. 3. Gas overflow that spills directly on the left rear tire

Weve had this car for over 6 years now. Bought it new. The car is very reliable. It gets decent mileage. Avg about 27MPG in mixed city/hwy. The only problem was the battery failed at about 5 years. This is normal I suppose.

The SI is all that I hoped for. Its fun, its practical, and best of all, it sounds orgasmic when you fondle the accelerator in any gear. Even cruising around town you hear the moan of the Farrier sounding exhaust. Some may ask if its worth the extra cost than the EX, the answer is yes. You do have to rev it to get all the HP out of it, but the car sounds like it has no problem going to 8000rpm. Even in the low rpms its peppy and pleasing. Its roomy enough to fit my 65" frame. You will not find a better value in this class than the SI.

This is absolutely the best car. The car not only looks great, but it is very comfortable to ride and drive. It has so many nice features inside the vehicle. If you are still not sure if you want to buy a civic, think no more, go for it, you will not regret it.

  • Fun to drive with a bounce - 2007 Honda Civic

This car needs new tires due to a factory defect, it has always bounced down the road, now, we know why. It now needs a rear upper control arm kit. The company will pro rate the tires, using some sort of formula, based on tire depth and mileage. We were told by our dealer that there is no pro-rated money allowed based on the formula. The car is dangerous. I feel let down by Honda.

As stated. Everything is fine except that noise coming from glove box direction. It seems to be known problem for 2006. Civic.

I went from driving a Grand Prix for the last 20 years (6 cars) to a Civic Hybrid, and couldnt be more pleased. It is a solid car, with lots of technology, and actually fun to drive. I am averaging 46.4 mpg, with 50/50 city/hwy. driving. I love the challenge to keep the mileage over 50 mpg. for many of my trips. I am glad I bought it when I did, because they are now hard to find in the Twin cities.
