  • Think Twice Before Buying A Honda - 2007 Honda Civic

I have had the Civic Si sedan for not even a year (13K miles on it). Shifting to third is notchy and it feels like there is something blocking the shifter from engaging third. The passenger airbag off indicator comes one when nothing is in the passenger seat. The indicator is supposed to be off when there is nothing in the seat but because there are no error codes registered when the light comes on the engineers at American Honda said there is nothing wrong with the car and refuse to authorize any repairs. On at least 5 occasions nothing happened when I turned the key to start the car. The starter spins but does not engage.

  • Love My Honda Civic - 2007 Honda Civic

I love driving my car, I love how fast it accelerates as soon as I press the gas. I also love the shape and style of my red 2007 honda civic. The audio features are incredible too. The safety features are also incredible it has side airbags on all the doors. It makes me feel extremely safe.

  • Lots of Fun!! - 2007 Honda Civic

when I first saw the car , I was impressed by the beautiful exterior design. I got mine with the front under spoiler and fog lights and it looks very aggressive. I also got the interior panel trim which makes a big difference over stock. The car is lots of fun to drive. My only complaint is that it needs more power. In order to get those 197 horses you need to push the engine over 7000 rpm, which I think its not healthy for the engine. In conclusion its a great buy just needs more power. Turbo or supercharger will be nice.

So far not too bad. This was a mpg purhcase, not my first choice for a new car. Im getting 30 mpg, not what I had hoped for (34 mpg at least) for 80% highway, but better then the alternatives which is what made me go Civic. Engine whiens at 3500 rpm but still moves. Door panels are 3 peices and rattle with loud bass. Interior parts seem cheap. So long term reliabilty and mpg were the strongest features for me an while I may wish for other cars as I see them on the highway, I think about how often I stop at the gas station and feel a little better. Windshield antenna not very strong.

  • Glad I got this over the Prius - 2007 Honda Civic

I was deliberating whether I should go "green" and get the Prius. I test drove the Prius. Nothing exciting, just thought it was cool that I could potentially save lots of gas. But it seemed to struggle a bit going uphill, so that made me doubt. Then I test drove this Civic 4 door LX AT. I was instantly in love. I had a 1997 4 door LX that broke down recently, just under 200,000. Anyway, the thing that caught me was that this thing has 140 horses! I could accelerate, even when going uphill, and I felt confident that I could pass anyone if necessary. But the 30/40 mpg, that was it for me. I saved about $3k versus the Prius, decent mpg, and I love the extra horses!

  • Disappointing, really! - 2007 Honda Civic

I expected much more out of this car based on the many reviews I read; they all seemed to ignore actual performance under real world conditions. Cornering is good but comfort doesnt approach the Elantra and the engine needs heavy-revvin. Reliability has been very disappointing with six trips to the dealer and various repairs.

  • A great value - 2007 Honda Civic

I bought my Civic because I wanted reliability and good fuel economy. I have owned only small cars; this is the closest to a "big" car I have ever owned. It is far bigger than it looks, but drives like a smaller car. I am averaging 38 mph on the highway and 26 mph in hilly city driving. It also has the best heater/defroster that I have ever seen. My only complaints are a "lumpy" drivers seat and a parking brake that gets hit every time I enter the car. I love the digital dash; it is easy to read and looks "cool". I also wish that it had a trunk release button on the key fob and a sunglass holder. Other than that, it is a fantastic car.

  • Could have been a good car - 2007 Honda Civic

Bad car. Don’t buy it. Uncomfortable seats, extra loud alarm chimes and a cheap rattling interior made me sell this car after 6,700 miles. No excuse. Honda costs a couple of thousand more than many of its competitors cars. The plastic interior is poorly assembled and its loud. The cabin electrical wires are housed in a noisy corrugated plastic hose that vibrates at highway speeds. The seats are soft and have no support for long drives. Alarm chimes are aggressive and startling. I want to be reminded, not punished. This was my third and last new Honda. No more, thanks.
