  • 52 mpg first tank!! - 2007 Honda Civic

So far excellent mpg. Excellent reliability and easy to get use to. Teaches you how to drive smartly and the instant mpg makes it easier to lay off the pedal. Room in the back is more then enough for the kids. Recommend totally.

  • Outstanding car, outstanding value - 2007 Honda Civic

The EX Coupe is not only technically sophisticated but is aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. The i-VTEC engine delivers more than adequate acceleration and its 1.8 liter size provides excellent mileage. Moreover, the content in the EX is astonishing for the price. It is like having a luxury car--a mini-Acura--for under $20K. All the convenience items are there, and some you dont expect, like speed sensitive stereo volume control and speed sensitive intermittent wipers. And despite some carps, the dual tier dash is a brilliant design. Speed can be monitored without deflecting your eyes too far down and yet the tachometer is mounted dead center, where it should be. FABU!

  • Great car for the money - 2007 Honda Civic

Had the car over a month now, covering 1,000+ miles. I traded in my gas hog Nissan truck for the fuel efficient Civic EX and with rising gas prices, Im glad I did. Its getting an average of 32 mpg which is on the low side of the 30/40 epa, but from the 15 mpg I got in my truck, Im more than satisfied with it. The car is fun to drive and for a 4 door sedan, its easy on the eyes as well. I would have liked more interior colors choices but was only offered light grey to pair with the Atomic Blue exterior.

  • Great Car - 2007 Honda Civic

I got my car at the end of March and waiting to until now to review it. Im very happy with it. I did have a 92 Civic before and couldnt get rid of it soon enough. This car is not what you expect from an economy car. I drove from Philadelphia to Wilmington, NC for a wedding and then back up the coastline for a vacation. On the highway, I averaged 42 mpg with the air conditioning on. I didnt have any concerning the seats. The Civic has nice pickup and this is the only time I really hear the engine when the revs go over 2500.

  • Its an economy, not luxury, car - 2007 Honda Civic

I bought this car to replace my SUV. After attaining 41 mpg at 70+ mph, Im finding fewer reasons to use the SUV. I dont feel underpowered when merging into traffic. The ride is more nimble and sporty than the SUV. The cabin is quiet enough, given the aerodynamic styling. Although the seats could be more comfortable and the stereo more powerful, I remind myself that I bought a low-priced car for great mileage. I bought a Honda, not a Lexus.

  • So Far, So Good - 2007 Honda Civic

Bought this new in December of 2006. Love the looks and it is still a blast to drive. I have it in black and it is sharp. Only defects so far is the sunroof rattled and 3rd gear was a little sticky. Dealer fixed both problems, no charge. Interior plastic is a little cheap, it scuffs easily and I dented the door where I rest my elbow. Vehicle stability assist has kicked in a couple of times in the snow and it helped with the traction. For performance, appearance, and sheer fun to drive it cant be beat.

  • I love my Hybrid - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

I chose the Civic Hybrid for its smooth, quiet operation, driveability, advanced standard safety features, exceptional ergonomics, amazing instrument panel...and those 50 miles per gallon. I liked it when I got it, and I love it a few months later. It moves and handles well, protects my family like a vigilant Doberman, and lives up to its advertised MPG. My highest observed sustained mileage was 58.3 on a highway trip; I average around 47 mpg in largely-urban commuting and around town. Steering is quick and precise, braking is sure and solid. Other favorites: Standard 4-channel ABS with brake distribution and brake assist, Hondas exceptional airbag system and the tilt/telescope wheel.

Purchased it to get CA carpool sticker before they disappear. I have been very pleased so far. With 4 tanks of gas, I seem to get around 45MPG overall. The dash calculated values are a bit lower than when I do the miles divided by gallons purchased calculation. If you keep under 70 mph, you seem to get closer to 50 mpg. If you go closer to 85 mpg, it goes down into the low 40s. Stop and start commute traffic gets you in the highto mid 40s. Nothing I do results in the mileage leaving the low 40s. The radio sounds great with my Ipod. Im not thrilled by the tranny but it seems to get the job done in terms of mpg. Acceleration seems fine as long as you dont stomp on it. Overall, Im pleased!!!

  • Civics are bullet proof! - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

Without a doubt this is the best car Ive ever owned. I am 62" and have plenty of room, even when Im in the back seat. I got no haggle internet invoice pricing with low 4.9% APR financing. There is a TSB on 07 Civics because of a rear control arm assembly which causes vibrations over 45 MPH. I took it to the dealer - they fixed it promptly at no charge to me & put on a set of new Goodyear tires! Most of my driving is highway driving and I average 33-37 MPG.

  • Nice car, concerned about windshield - 2007 Honda Civic
    By -

This car has been very nice so far. I like the performance, spacious interiors, the fact that it is not expensive to buy and operate, and the 6 airbags. However 3 weeks after I bought it brand new, the very same day that I was to put the license plates in place, I noticed a chip in the windshield, and I feel confused as it is big enough to not be noticed when it happened. I am in a debate between repair or replacement but Im concerned that a poor quality replacement installation can lead to bigger problems. I honestly think it is too soon to have problems with this car, and Im starting to believe that the windshield is weak.
