Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value.   Better than Prius - 2005 Honda Civic

  Less complicated and no PHD required to operate. Just drove a Prius and the instrumentation was not only confusing but distracting. HH gauges simple. Mileage and interior room good. Trunk bigger than Prius and enclosed. Better for the person who likes to drive without bothering with glitz. Radio only fair. I have the upgraded model and did not switch to an added cost radio.

  Drifting to the Right - 2008 Honda Civic

  I purchased my first Honda after doing much research on the fuel economy of cars. I bought it new with six miles on it and have had problems with it drifting to the right. I have had it in four times already. First time they did a front end alignment which had failed. It still pulled to the right. Returned that day and they switched tires from rear to front and said it was a radial pull and they put all new tires on it. It continues to drift and now they are telling me it is the road and all Hondas drift to the right. It never pulls left. They also scratched my paint up on the visit with their complimentary wash. Very unhappy!!!

  car stalls constantly - 2001 Honda Civic

  Ive had my car for less than 2 years and its been fixed 6 times. Ive had 2 new transmissions, a new computer thing, a new starter, they fixed the idle and have had a new alarm computer and the car still does not work! It stalls whenever it is put in to gear even though it is an automatic! I just filed for the lemon law so Hopefully i wont have to put up with this stupid car much longer. also it dongs very easily.

  I have purchased my last new car! For $approx 18,500 cash, it without a doubt is the best and most thrifty car I could ever hope to find at this point in time. No Micky Mouse look to this one, as outwardly it looks like a reqular, top of the line, Civic sedan much better looking then the Toyota Prius or Echo. With the electrical boost I have no problems merging into express way traffic. A really nice machine.

  This car is so fun to drive and is great on gas! I would recommend this car to anyone. I also think it looks pretty good and is easy to keep clean!

  I bought my Civic when it was a year old and have loved it every day sense. I moved to Hawaii and could not part with it, so it took a cruise over and made it fine. Ive never had a problem with it, outside of the drivers side window getting stuck last year (although this may have to do with after-factory tint I had put on at that time) and this was easily fixed. I wish it had more power going up mountains, but it is worth it to have the awesome gas mileage (30 - 34 mpg even with city driving). I love my car and have not once regretted this purchase. It has never let me down.
