Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Good Car - Lousy Service - 2004 Honda Civic

No complaints about the car. Its everything I expected - easy to drive, good gas mileage, very well built. However the car was not cleaned properly. I took the car at night, did not do a good inspection. I returned to have an alarm installed and showed the salesman the dirty windows and wheel wells. Guess what? They didnt clean it up, in fact they didnt even rewash the car after installing the alarm. I will not go back to this dealer - Winward Honda, when its time to buy another car. With two other dealers in town, youd think theyd provide better service.

  • Great car at great price - 2008 Honda Civic

After researching all hybrids I narrowed it down to the Prius and the Honda Civic. I settled on the Civic because its a better looking car. I love the car and get about 40 mpg all around. I purchased a new Civic hybrid with navigation for $22,101 including destination charge. It was $24,350 out the door. Apparently that is about $1,000 under invoice. Use the Costco discount and go to the internet mgr. Im completely satisfied.

Great car for the money. Not sure why some people arent getting good fuel economy. My driving is about 2/3 highway and 1/3 city, and my worst tank in 6 months of ownership has been 33.5 mpg. I average 34.5 - 35.0 mpg, with spirited driving. My best tank was 37 mpg while I tried to baby it.

This was my first major investment and I have no regrets with my purchase. I plan to drive this until it cant go anymore. I have had to do minimal maintenance. I added a Honda spoiler, tint and fog lights and just love the look!

  • Loving My First Honda!! - 1993 Honda Civic

When i first bought this car it had 120k on it. and in the 2 years ive been driving it the car still runs great. i swapped in an acura GS-R motor at 140k. If you thought the car was fun to drive before. It is simply amazing now. The power is amazing, and going up to the 8k rev limiter will def. surprise a few people. the car has had no major problems since i swapped the motor and im now at 156k on the chasis. This car is a definately fun car and not only is it now fast but it handles just as well.

  • Awesome Car Couldnt Ask For Better - 2006 Honda Civic

This is a great car! Ive had it for a few days now and LOVE the new interior design. I bought the manual because I didnt care for the lack of power of the older model auto Civic Coups and Im certain I made the right decision. There is plenty of get-up-and-go. Cornering is excellent and steering is very tight. Though odd, the most notable improvement I noticed immediately is the design of the cup holders. I cant count the number of times my drink has fallen out of the cup holders in my older Honda. The new one has spring loaded bars that hold your cup in tightly. The 2 power outlets are nice if you have need of them. Trunk is very roomy. Im 62" and there is plenty of room for me!

  • Research the DEALER as much as the car! - 2016 Honda Civic

The cabin of this car is small and is not conducive of 5 people traveling. I am 54" and if I position my driver seat to comfort my driving. I can not comfortably fit in the backseat. The cup holders are small, although there is a larger one underneath there is only one, that is usable only if the smaller tray is removed. The compartments in the door can not hold even a water bottle. The USB connection underneath the radio is apparently not compatible with (HTC, Galaxy, IPhone), although it worked fine for the first month! The other USB port is a 1.5 port and it takes a lengthy period of time to charge anything. The stereo has been beeping and switching screens since two months after I purchased it (bought in April 2016). Between two dealerships here was an update done on the stereo and low and behold....same problem. The dashboard houses a loading circle everyday which prohibits me from seeing the speed and every other feature of the the dash screen. HONDA CORP AND THE DEALERS HAVE DONE NOTHING AND NOW I FIND MYSELF IN A LAWSUIT TO REPLACE A STEREO. ***UPDATE: As of July 2017 my stereos parts have finally, finally been replaced. I have waited over a year and half to have this fixed which is scream for help as far as Honda standing by their product. Furthermore, I have been having trouble as an expecting mom with the height of vehicle (sits too low), and the room in the vehicle is barely sufficient to hold an infant car seat and use the front seat properly. a reduction of the trunk to add more space to the cabin would be a PLUS!!!

I love this car! New car design in and out is great. Fuel economy is just as good as my motorcycle. Solid build quality. I lift weights and I am not a small person yet at 248 lbs I have plenty of width room inside this car. 5 star crash rating. Resale value will increase in the next few years due to elevated gas prices. Thanks Honda.
