Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

Pleasant car to drive, tight suspension and handles nice. With a 50 mile round trip commute its pretty comfortable for a large stocky 6+ ft male. Not seeing the hood takes a bit getting used too but my last honda was similar. Overall this car is very fun to drive and cruise around town. Love the sporty exterior thats not plain looking. Great car as you come to expect from Honda.!! Recommend.

  • Great Hybrid Choice - 2007 Honda Civic

I love my Honda Civic Hybrid. Its fun to drive and not nearly as slow feeling as some reviewers have said. The CVT is hard to get used to...but give the car such a smooth feel and tends to make me drive faster. The interior color choices could be much better, but the finish is great. My gas mileage has been amazing. I actually traded in my 2006 Honda Accord V-6 for this car and do not regret it one bit!!! Fun car and great gas mileage.

Great car for the money. I have driven this car over 700 miles and love it. It has been great on gas, 50/50 city/highway driving and I have been getting an average of 32 mpg. I find the seats to be very comfortable and love the dash board. Lots of room for a small car. I have two children and they both fit well in the back seat. The car is smooth shifting and relatively a quiet ride. I would highly recommend this car to a friend.

We decided to get the Honda Civic EX because of the awesome safety ratings, anti-lock brakes, and the good price that it was selling for. All of the magazines that I have looked at rate this car at the top of its class. Overall I am very happy with this car and would recommend it to anyone.

  • Hybrid Honda Civic - 2006 Honda Civic

I traded my 2004 Civic (another great car) for a 2006 hybrid Civic last month. This car is fantastic! The 50 mpg cant be beat, the interior design is extremely well planned. All gauges and controls are conveniently located so the drivers attention remains on the road. The shift between the gas and electric motors is smooth. The car is quiet, which adds to enjoyment of the sound system. And 50 mpg! Not to mention lower emissions, and a nice surprise at the insurance office. Because of the safety innovations on the 2006 Civic, my insurance rates went down 10%. Wow.

I got my Civic Ex 4 door for graduation is 1995. Before that I had a 1991 Civic Lx with over 200k on it. My 95 has 122,000 miles on it currently. As with Honda/Acura, just maitenence and oil changes. I currently have another Honda product, and a Ford SUV(tow Civic to the track). I circuit race the 95 Ex. I have replaced the original drivetrain with one of out a 94 Acura Integra GSR. The car just begs to be driven hard. Feels like a very fast go cart. I pushing about 202 hp at the wheels.

Great Car!! We drove our Hybrid from Texas to Vancouver Canada and Back. We averaged 40 mpg. The milage thing is a little tricky, At times I could have the cruise control on 79 mph at around 3200 rpms and would get around 50 mpg. I had fun playing with the average and actually got it up to 70 mpg for a brief amount of time. From Arlington Washington to Eugene Oregon we got 47 mpg. It all depends on the terrain you are driving on. I think the rain or humidity may affect mileage as well. The car has plenty of passing power but struggled a little in the mountains. Great for big city commuting, comfortable for long trips.
