Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • A must buy. - 2008 Honda Civic

I have the car for just over 2 weeks and with only a minor change in driving habits (Going speed limit) I had 46.5 mpg on 90%s city driving and 47.9 mpg for 90% highway driving. Better than the EPA ratings on mph and the car is just breaking in. I have a driving range of approximately 500 miles per tank. Not bad at all. My weekly cost for gas has gone from $150 plus per week to approximately $38 per week. The difference between a mini-van and a hybrid is amazing. Great comfort, style, performance and mph. Much more stylish than a Prius. This car is fantastic so try one and you will be a believer.

  • Great car " Honda build cars that can last a life" - 2015 Honda Civic

It my first car .. I treated it like a new born baby & I always keep in the garage .. Its well maintain " looks brand new " mint condition... Only reason I will consider selling is just " to upgrade my self into a newer Honda"... I love my car if I can afford to keep two cars.. I would not sell it!

  • Most well-rounded car ever - 2006 Honda Civic
    By -

Like the title says, this car is the most well-rounded car of all time. Power, exterior/interior design, and handling are all perfect in my opinion. It took a little bit for me to get used to the new "drive by wire" technology, but now that Ive adapted I couldnt be happier. Before this I had a 94 Accord w/ lsd and a lot of suspension upgrades. This thing handles just as well out of the box!

  • For $20,000 its a great car! - 2006 Honda Civic
    By -

Getting 36-38 mpg on all interstate driving, love the cockpit style gauges and factory sound is good quality. Im 6 ft tall and have no problems with my knee hitting the parking brake. Through 3 1/2 months of owning and I havent had one single issue with any part of the car. There is a little road noise, but turning up the radio one notch covers it up. Love the sunroof and overall look of the outside of the car. Surprising power when speeding up to enter freeway.

  • 2008 Civic EX-L Coupe - 2008 Honda Civic
    By -

Just took delivery of my 2008 Civic on Valentines Day. I have the coupe (EX-L) 5 speed without navigation. Car handles very well and is fun to drive. The clutch and close ratio gearbox are are light and easy to modulate (third gear can be a little tricky til you get used to it). Doors close with a nice solid thunk and overall the car seems well made. The only issue that I have with the car is that the heated seats are not at all what I am used to. Previous car was a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS.) My Chevys seats got hot in seconds and stayed that way, the Hondas barely get warm on high - dealer say they are "operating normally". Overall I really like the car.

My 2008 Civic is the 4th Honda Ive owned. It seems to continue Hondas fine tradition of stylish, economical, reliable transportation.

this is my 4th civic, but my first brand new one! theres not much to be said that already hasnt here about this great car. great looks (inside and out), fuel economy, reliability. you expect quality from honda and they delivered. its pretty peppy for only having 127 horses and i never stop for yellow lights anymore ;) its been 6 months now and the excitement of having a new car still hasnt worn off yet! its still a blast to drive!!!

  • No Heat On My Feet - 2001 Honda Civic
    By -

Overall its a good car, but Honda has been less than helpful with service. I have been called a problem by my dealer and told by Honda corporate that having no heat come out of the floor vents isnt a problem (I live in Buffalo,NY - its a problem). So if you want to stay warm in winter, look elsewhere.
