Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  I always thought of Civic as a tuners dream car but not much else. Wow! Have I changed my mind. The new Civic coupe is a well appointed, sporty car that fits a six footer in his forties just fine. The car is nice with the auto trans but is simply a blast with the 5 speed. Handling and braking are more like a sports car than I expected yet its quite comfortable to drive as well. The interior is nothing less than brilliant! Everything from cup holders to the sun roof reflects thoughtful engineering. My Lincoln-driving wife is jealous of the features on this car. Finally, as a life long musician, its nice to finally hear a factory car stereo worth keeping. 38 MPG brings a smile too!

  I am using this car for the past 6 months and thought of writing a review based on my experience. I bought this brand new car after reading lot of reviews and research. The car is the best car I have ever owned. The comfort it gives while driving can be compared to major luxury brands in the Sedan section. Mileage is superb, 35+ on highway and 28+ local.

  I have a Civic EX sedan. The interior is more roomy than past Civics and the new body style is very appealing as well. I like the digital gauges that make it easier to see speed. It gets great gas mileage as well, an average of about 31 for me.

  This is just a great little ride for anyone. I had an S2K, but since its convertible, I decided to go with something at least a little more practical. The fact that its a Honda says a lot. High RPM, great reliability ratings, gas mileage, futuristic styling, and definitely the handling is precise, and the list goes on. I only have one complaint and that is rattling of something in the roof. Its possible that there might be a pebble or acorn or something that got sucked in while I was doing the sunroof back, but it is a very annoying problem. Also, the wheels seem to chip easy. I drive on gravel roads very little, but on two of my wheels, it is chipped.

  I was scared to buy a new car. My family convinced me to by a honda becasue is was so reliable and the gas mileage was right. Still a little reluctant I went and test drove it. I heard nothing but the wind. The engine was so quite i couldnt believe. Can you tell i am a first car buyer. I love my little HONDA LX. It matches my style and life. Thanks Honda for making such good cars for people like me.

  I really hate this car! Summer in Virginia is always hot, and this car has the worst AC I have seen in any of the car! Take >10 minutes to cool down even set at the maximum. I want to get rid of it ASAP!!!
