Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • We love it! - 2006 Honda Civic

Technically this is my wifes car, but I love it too. We were looking for something comparable in features and size for her 2000 Jetta, and found it in the Civic with the plus of awesome styling. Gas mileage is over 40 hwy. Fit/finish as I would expect from Honda, not perfect but very good. Could use some better noise reduction, and some actual carpet for the trunk or a rubber mat. I would prefer a darker interior color instead of the tan which is the only interior for the white cars.

  • A Spunky Little Honda - 1994 Honda Civic

This is my first car. I got it from my cousin who had it for a year. She got it from a liitle old lady that drove it to church and groceries once a week. I got it with 56,000 miles on it. Amazing, hasnt even been broken in with. It unfortunately is an automatic transmission. Though a 5-spd is more sporty, this little honda can hold the road for a front wheel drive car, even on wet pavement. With the proper tires on it. This car will drive forever if I let it. I observe about 27-32 mpg depending on how I drive for the week. I average 250 miles a tank which lasts 6-7 days. With the price of gas it is important. The brakes are flawless. No leaks and little squeaks.

  • Cant Go Wrong... - 1998 Honda Civic

I bought a 1994 Honda Civic in 1999, but sold it to upsize to a truck (2001 Toyota Prerunner). Recently, I sold the Prerunner due to its poor gas mileage. Im a college student and commuting back and forth to school required me to fill my tank about twice a week, totally emptying my wallet. I decided to buy another Civic because I had no complaints with the first one they are cute, reliable and efficent cars, and I will probably keep this car till it dies on me (or till I die, whichever comes first). I love my Civic!

  • Awesome Car - 2006 Honda Civic

After switching form a 2003 EX, to a 2006 EX; there is a big difference. The 2003 was a very nice car, but Honda outdid themselves this time. The speaker system is much better, it has features that many people wont find in a luxury car, and it rides very quietly. Honda did a great job with this one!

Having recently become a (initially reluctant) Civic owner I felt I should leave my 2 cents here. My wife and I commute to work and my Jeep was killing us on gas. The civics reputation for durability and gas mileage drew us in. This car fits our commuting life style. Its roomier than I thought inside and sleek enough outside that I dont feel like its my parents car! We arent yet 30 after all. The gas consumption is the best feature of this car for us. Its a real miser with gas and thats fine. I have come to really enjoy the extra money in my pocket...makes it easy to fall in love with the car!

  • COOL Car!! - 2003 Honda Civic

I really like the Car so far. I even did the Touch of Class option for the interior and exterior because I am impressed. 2000 dollar Fed. tax write off. It has a good take off punch (gets out of any intersection dilemas). Great Mileage. Is it reliable? Time will tell.. My first impressions are that it has Honda integrity. I am a previous Honda Owner as well.

  • And Still Going......... - 1992 Honda Civic

I bought this car new.. the little gas sipper, like that certain rabbit keeps on going... Have hauled lots in that hatchback including a dining room table and chairs in three trips. At 154000 still runs great, low maintenance, and keeping it till it dies....

  • It is what it is - A reliable commuter - 2000 Honda Civic
    By -

Its not a performance vehicle right off the lot. But, I needed something safer and more practical than my old truck. This civic has worked great. Ive put 102K miles on it, and no problems. Easy to work on as far as replacing spark plugs, changing oil, etc. Gas mileage is great. Commute into Atlanta, and still get 32/33 mpg. Nice to have the CD player and keyless entry. There are plenty of things that could be upgraded on this car. No cruise control, no trunk light, power windows, a little more than 108 hp. However, like the subject line says, it is what it is. Its a comfortable commuter car, and on long trips. Really great gas mileage, and you never have to worry, its a Honda
