Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  I love this car!! its so nice on the outside and inside. I like the how the outside has this aggressive look. Also the inside is better than a luxury car. It has so many features! Im 64" and i fit perfect!! it looks small but so roomy. I recommend this car to anyone!

  Best Civic Yet! - 2006 Honda Civic

  All I can say is WOW! Best Civic yet! I have mine for a few days now and I cant stop driving it. The 5 speed transmission is a huge improvement over the pervious model, as well as the handling. The interior is comfortable and the ride is smooth. Drive one you will not be disappointed!

  10 - 2006 Honda Civic

  The 2006 Civic is fun to drive with more power under the hood. Handling is smooth and sharp in tight corners, braking is much more steadier unlike Accords soft braking distance. The ride is firmer and gives a much more sportier feel top to bottom than last years coupe.

  Good so far - 2008 Honda Civic

  I have 12K miles and so far other than rough shifting during low speeds and vibration when idle and AC on, I have no other complaints. Of course I dont mistreat my car so perhaps I dont see any problems... so far. :-) Honda civic overall is a reliable and fuel efficient car.

  A Great Car!!! - 2002 Honda Civic

  This car is great. It looks great, drives well, and I have had absolutely zero problems with it. I get 30+ mpg, and I love the sunroof and keyless entry. Very roomy, with a huge trunk (the two door is just as big as the 4 door, and almost as big as the Accord). I live in my car, and couldnt be happier. A Great car!

  It is a good reliable car that is really fun to drive the handling is excellent and its pretty fast you can feel the power right away its a 5 speed cluch transsmission and it peels in first three gears once you hit 4th it stops.

  Honda does it yet again...adding 36 HP over my 97 model and approximately 5 more miles to the gallon to boot; a very modern look; and a sensible gauge display and voice-controlled navigation system all centered around making sure that you, the driver, are focused on the road. Curtain-side as well as front air bags, ABS, and electronic brake distribution add even more to the cars overall safety. Its fun to drive and it looks awesome. This is not your parents economy car anymore. This a truly sporty-looking car of your own to drive...without the unreliability and waste of domestic automobile engineering.

  worth the money - 2001 Honda Civic

  This is my second Civic,and a tremedous improvement of the interior noise of the 99 LX sedan. In fact, I have to sell one of my civics, and I would much rather keep the 01 EX, even for the extra $5K. For the first two years the acceleration was sluggish, and the brakes required alot of force, I felt like I was diving, however, after driving 30,000 miles and a brake job, things are much improved, perhaps needed a good break in period. Long distance trips are very comfortable, and the car is extremely stable at fast speeds (no spoiler needed). 6 speakers is indispensible, and I have no interest in replacing the standard stereo.

  Very Satisfied with Honda - 2003 Honda Civic

  I purchased a 2003 Civic EX 4 door automatic at the Honda Clearance sale. Was able to get a great price just slightly above invoice and a wonderful finance rate on a car with all the options. I was NOT pressured at all by the salesman or finance manager. So far, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The car runs great; the extras like the moon roof and the keyless remote are fun to use; the anti- lock brakes make me feel safer; and theres just enough back seat space to fit 2 childrens booster seats and one infant car seat.

  Honda Civics are wonderful cars. I mean for a starting out person in their 20s i would reccomend it! The price of the car is resonable........its a wonderful deal!
