Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • The right thing to buy - 2007 Honda Civic

Ive had this car for two months and it is just getting better and better. Its really fun to drive. I like the its stability on the road and inside design that makes you feel comfortable. I think there is some exaggeration on the gas mileage. The average is around 31 mpg instead of the 38 mpg ( talking high way )

  • Not quite a Acura CRX - 2002 Honda Civic

I wanted something a bit sportier, but this car was a great compromise between styling and affordability. It gets great gas millage (EPA ratings are right on target), handles well, and has enough power to get over hills without a fuss. Dont get in an accident with this vehicle though, because although it does a good job keeping you safe, the damage to the vehicle is going to be expensive. Many of the parts cannot be easily repaired and need to be replaced (bumpers, shock absorbers, etc.)

Got the ex w/ side airbags for 500 below invoice plus my trade-in. Its a good car, and seems really solid. Im happy with my purchase.

  • Awesome - 2006 Honda Civic

I bought this car in December. So amazing. Great interior, good fuel efficiency, and its awesome how a civic can turn heads. The 350 watt system with a sub sounds great, and the car is very comfortable to drive. I love honda. The only problem I had is that the dealer was kind of rude to me, and there was a manufacturers defect with a piece in the transmission, that could have been easily found out before I drove it. It took them 10 days to fix supposedly, but the car is amazing and the wait was well worth it.

  • Not So Great - 2005 Honda Civic

The Honda Civic has great gas mileage however it shifts exceptionally hard...almost worse than a Dodge Neon. The body is cheap plastic...totally crumples in fender benders.

  • Great Car But! - 2016 Honda Civic

Honda did a amazing job in 2016 Civic touring Model, which i leased in February 2016. On $27000.00 Price tag and no memory seat, no seat cooling option for driver seats annoying. Cheap Tablet in the name of Infotainment system and Navigation, which is gives you a wrong directions5 out of 10 times, GPS never calibrate for the first 5 minutes. Clock never sync always stuck on previous time. Otherwise its a great car.

  • Reliable - 1995 Honda Civic

Wifes car because I trust its dependabilty. Broke a timing belt (my fault, should have had it changed at 100000). Weve got 175000 on it and it keeps running. A little noisey but were used to it now.

  • BECAUSE IT WORTH IT! - 2004 Honda Civic

Exellent choice for the big cities and small towns. It is extremely reliable gas saver. Smooth transmission, and its easy to drive.

  • So far so good... - 2005 Honda Civic

I did my homework before buying this car and have to admit that Im quite pleased. The car "feels" good while driving it and is more sporty than Ive expected. The ride is a lot more quiet than comparable cars (i.e. Toyota Corolla and Pontiac Sunfire) The instruments are ergonomically positioned and easy to reach. The interior is visually pleasing. The trunk is more spacious than expected. Its the first time Ive ever felt that I got my moneys worth from a car purchase.

  • nice car, but should be better - 2001 Honda Civic
    By -

the car has 34 km in city and hwy Toronto Driving. had to replace the windshield because of a rock left a crack half way across the window. cost us $250Can dollars. the new glass looks so clear! i would recommend looking around and consider civic as a last option. my bro bought this car because of all other people having this same car. he doesnt know much about cars. was pulled to pay more for hondas reputation. dont buy a civic cuz of looks because thats what my bro also did. and i hate him for that. if it was my choice i would be getting an hyundai elantra GT. lots of standard stuff for cheaper and i dont care if its not a honda.
