Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

I wasnt expecting to buy a civic. Nor was I expecting to like the new civic! Ive usually bought used cars, but decided to go with a newer one with less features. Dont miss the sunroof or alloy wheels, but love the handling, fuel economy and surprisingly enough the peppiness.

This car kills batteries like crazy & the dealership cant figure out what the problem is. They will just keep replacing the battery until the 3yr warranty is over & then its on you. Make sure to have a jump box charged & ready with you to start this car monthly. If you let it sit more that 2-3 days the battery wont start it. The clutch makes a howling or grinding noise when accelerating from a stop in 1st gear. (started at about 20,000k mi) We were able to make this sound happen with a Honda Tech in the vehicle & they still are unwilling to fix the issue without saying well have to pay the tab. The rubber rotted out around the windows in 2 years & we had to fight with them to get it replaced. They said it was from being out in the sun too much in Arizona! In two years please! Then dont sell your crap cars in AZ. We bought this car brand new from Honda 4 years ago it has 40k on it now. Never buying Honda again its our first & last.

  • The BEST OF THE BEST !! - 2001 Honda Civic

Excellent car in its class or perhaps in any other class...for mere $14,000. I bought my Civic brand new in its first production year.(usually first production years are troublesome.) So far the car has given me nothing but pure happiness. I have driven a cross the country 2 times with it. I am falling in love with this car. The handling is great, the design is superb, re-sale value is topnotch, reliability is somthing to brag about..and not to mention, its safty beats Mercedes Benz C-Class sedan (Check out National Highway and Traffic Safty Association website @ www.nhtsa.dot.gov).

  • Economy Sports Car - 2006 Honda Civic

I had a very hard time finding a 5 spd. EX Coupe, but it was well worth the wait. This is my 5th Honda and Im sold on the quality, economy, and reliability. 35+ MPG (mostly highway) in the first 2 tanks. Great performance for the engine size. Transmission is a bit tight going into reverse at times and theres a minor rattle in the right rear - need to have the dealer check it out. Very comfortable for a 61" driver. The quick steering makes it feel like a sports car. But it feels much larger on the inside than it really is.

I find the honda civic is reliable, but the noise is terrible while driving, I dont get the gas mileage, the visualble is horrible. meaning that the beam between the back and front seat you cant see.

I love this vehicle. It wasnt hard for me to decide on this model. I needed an economic car, but with 4 doors (for the kids). It handels really well, and is great on gas. Oh, I love the way it looks also.

SO FAR IVE PUT 6300 MILES ON MY HCH AND NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING SO FAR. MY DRIVE TO WORK IS 25 MILES ONE-WAY WITH A COMBINATION OF HIGHWAY AND CITY DRIVING. IM AVERAGING ABOUT 46 MPG WITH ABOUT A 2 MPG DROP USING THE AC. HONDAS QUALITY AND REALIABILITY IS UNMATCHED!

  • Excellent buy - 2007 Honda Civic

As a Lexus, Acura and BMW driver in the past I was concerned about the comfort and roominess this car provides. To my surprise, the car is quiet, roomy and will save me approx. $1000 on gas. The other vehicles in the past required premium. This little unit gets 35 mpg and uses regular. It has plenty of zip and is a smooth ride. I am very very happy with this car and am highly recommending it to my friends.

  • Good pick up, great gas milage - 2002 Honda Civic

the interior it seems to be made of very nice quality and I expect it to last. I purchased the EX because of the sunroof, better engine and 15 inch wheels. The stereo isent all its cracked up to be. They say its premium although, its stock... I suppose I shouldnt expect wonders, but at 3/4s volume it shouldnt crackle on BASS. Sunroof works perfect, its fast to. 15 inch wheels, are not even real rims, they are just hub caps.. a bit dissapointing until I saw my monthly payments. My stereo is broken, I may one in a million to recieve this problems as the dealership had never heard of it. The clock resets everytime I turn off the car

  • I should have kept my cavalier - 2002 Honda Civic

I have had the car for about 2.5 years. I have not had one mechanical problem with the car witht the exception of the check engine light. My gas mileage is horrible and the resale value is disappointing. I bought the car knowing that I would put a lot of miles on it and I figured its a honda it will hold its value. NO it doesnt my care is worth about 7500.00 that is rediculous considering other cars are going for higher in the same year and style of this. I would buy a honda again just b/c they are awesome cars and run forever. Just not a Si.
