Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Great used car to buy - 2002 Honda Civic
By Cain - May 19 - 3:22 pmObviously, fuel economy was a major factor when buying this car - 35mpg / 400+ miles on one tank!! The only dislikes I have are the location of the side-mirror controls (on the dash just left of the steering column - hard to get to without taking you eyes off the road) road noise all the time and driver seat needs a longer armrest. Other than those items, I am very pleased with this CIVIC. Great resale value if I decide to sell of trade-in too...

Good small car - 2000 Honda Civic
By cl8855 - May 17 - 3:58 pmI bought this car in 2000 for my wife to be. Excellent gas mileage, good looks, nice handling. Overall, I wish I had bought the EX version. The fit and finish on this was not as good as my Accord. A little slow on the get-go unless you rev the engine super high. No trunk opener on the keyless entry.

Inexpensive, Sporty, Fun-to-drive!!! - 2010 Honda Civic
By dano0726 - May 17 - 11:43 amJust purchased this week and traded in a diesel 2005 VW Passat Sedan. Plan to hand over the keys to teenage daughter in 1.5 years as her first car. Black exterior with LX-S trim looks sweet; black cloth interior looks better than the gray. Was concerned about going from a diesel back to gas engine, but I am impressed with the acceleration the car has. Good build quality, and the entry price and nameplate could not be beaten.

Excellent Car! A+++ - 2009 Honda Civic
By Kevin - May 17 - 5:40 amThis is truly an excellent car. I am 63 and have ZERO comfort problems. There is plenty of space for the driver and passengers. I have read some reviews about people complaining about the parking break... but its fine. Also, a few people have complained about there being no trunk-release. Are you serious!?!? Cry me a river while I turn a key to open up my trunk. The mileage is great, and the car drives so smoothly. I was very impressed at how smooth the car drives, very little bumps. Also, the road noise is fine.

Love it - 2001 Honda Civic
By Emmy - May 15 - 11:48 ami cant imagine saying anything bad about this car. i recently purhcased it and i love it! the ride is awesome, it drives as smooth as my fathers bmw. it is comfortable, and the back seats are suprisingly roomy. the gas mileage is great and the styling is too. I was used to driving a 92 volvo station wagon, so the styling couldnt get much better if you ask me. it has been very reliable and seems quick on the road. i love the interior, and while driving, the car is very quiet, there was one rattle, but the dealership took care of it for me. other than that, the car makes barely any noise at all. overall a great car!

For four years I drove it nearly eight hundred miles to and from college. It never let me down. If any parents are interested in buying their child a reliable car, the Honda Civic is the one.
