  • Not bad but needs work - 2005 Honda Civic

Civic is a good commuter car with great gas mileage, decent handling, and pleasant design.

Honda has done a number on the interior of the Special Edition--very interesting to look at. Stereo looks like a higher-end after-market (6-disc-- great bass, clear treble, multiple graphic display). Magnesium metallic with graphite heated leather upgrade is a beautiful combination. The only problem I have is the lack of legroom in the front, and Im only 510"! Perfect car for small to medium sized people. Will be driven for many years to come. If you are looking to buy a regualar EX, DONT! SE comes standard with leather-wrapped steering wheel, better radio, spoiler, alloy wheels, etc. Overall paid $17,400 (sticker $19,175).

The Honda Civic Hybrid is a great car if you are looking for affordable, reliable, gas saving fun. Everyday this car continues to amaze me. In the Winter I was getting 51+ mpg (in AZ) and Im getting 46 mpg with the AC running. It is a typical Honda with great build and quality.

ItÂ’s a nice sport little car for a good price. It is very comfortable but only comes with the bare essentials. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who wants a car that is economical and fun to drive.

  • Should have bought a Prius! - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

When I went shopping for my car, I was looking for fuel economy and a little bit of fun. I first went to a Toyota dealership to test dive a Prius. Well I at least got to look at one in a brochure. I tend to buy cars on the spot (its more fun that way) and I did not want to wait 30-90 days, but I went ahead and put myself on the list. The next day I went to a Honda dealer and they had 7 Civic hybrids on their lot. A 5 speed even, so I bought it. What a bad decision! It cost me less than the Prius, but its trade in value is $9,000 less than the $2,000 more for the Prius! Its cramped, slow, and completely dull to drive. Skip this car! only 10 miles per gallon better than an EX civic.

  • The best bang for your buck - 2005 Honda Civic

This car is FUN to drive! Mileage is fantastic, averaging 45mpg. Love the crank windows, as my previous Camrys were always shorting out. Stereo is so- so but it plays music. Upside is the volume will only go so high so theres no danger of blowing out your speakers. Car hugs the road beautifully. Honda reputation is what convinced me to buy. Now my family owns three Civics

  • Whining noise CTV transmission - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

Am formerly loyal, multi-Honda owner: Had problems from week 1 with intermittent high pitched whine from Hybrid CTV. Honda replaced transmission. 2nd trans was quite for about 1000 miles, then whine started again. VERY DISSATISFIED-6 months of hassles. Honda says this is interent and cannot be fixed....Have asked Honda to buy back or trade for a quite car. Anyone else?

  • Good, not super - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

This car is very nice, but after driving an Accord, even an older one such as mine (94-97), it doesent feel substantial. It drives real light, which is good for cornering, but not for feeling safe pulling out into traffic!

  • CIVIC 4DR Special Edition - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

Large trunk for a car of its size. great little all round car. Wonderfull on gas without using the A/C. Special Edition sound system sounds great 6 cd changer built in nice touch easy to use controls for heat a/c etc. Everything in east reach of driver.

  • My New Honda Civic LX - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

I purchased my Honda Civic from Rick Case Honda in October 2004. As a former owner of a 1996 Saturn SL which was starting to show signs of needing more frequent repairs, my fellow coworkers recommended that I get a Honda Civic instead of a Saturn Ion because a Honda is a more reliable and dependable vehicle. I also checked Consumer Reports and they rated the Honda Civic as one of their top choices as a quality vehicle for about the same price of a Saturn Ion. I also did not particularly care for the interior design of the Ions instrument panel. The Honda Civic is a very reliable and dependable car for the money and I am very satisfied with my final decision to purchase a Honda.
