  • Having fun with an "economy car" - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

I am a first time owner of a "foreign" automobile. I was very impressed with the peppy VTEC engine and "tight" handling my Civic has. It is lots of fun to drive. The front seats are comfortable. But being that it is a coupe, the back seat is a little difficult to access. The gas mileage is amazing for such a quick little car. I am getting about 32 to 36 MPG in my combination city and highway driving. By just closing the door and the solid feel it has when doing so, you know that you are driving a car that is an excellent value for the money.

  • Hybrid--The Best Choice - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

I have driven my Honda Civic Hybrid for almost seven months and I am totally satisfied with this automobile. I had to get used to the small size, coming from an SUV but was not a problem as this car is fun to drive and gets superior milage. I average 35-38 mpg in the city and 45 on the highway at 65mph. The gas milage is slightly overstated on the dealers sticker and the milage you do get depends a lot on how carefully you drive the car. The autostop control is slow to engage when using the car in cold weather which reduces mpg and makes you think its not working properly. The engine has to reach a certain temp first. This car is an excellent buy for anyone.

  • This is the real thing - 2005 Honda Civic

The Honda Civic Hybrid is Comfortable bu maintains a sporty feel. The fuel mpg was only 36.6 while breaking in but into a head wind for 330 miles the mpg was 46.6 and returning home for the same didtance with no wind either way the mpg jumped to 50.3. And heres the best part, the manual Hybrid was $20350 vs the prius @ 23400 for the same features. A no brainer cuzz the $3000 will pay for the gas for the life of the car. Am I happy I bought it? You BET. I got mine.

  • New Civic - 2005 Honda Civic

I just replaced my 2000 Honda EX for this 2005 EX Special Edition. I love this car. It has so much more pep to it and it just feels tighter! It looks alot more sportier too with the Spoiler and Alloy Wheels... Very happy with the change!

  • Not bad for the money - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

This is my second Honda Civic, theyre great for the money. The car is overall okay, gas mileage is like a hybrid (well almost). I have been extremely disappointed with the dealer, but I hear a lot of dealers are like that. Theres no sunshade at the top of the windshield, very annoying on a sunny day. The car is also difficult to start on an extremely cold morning, I think it should be much easier to start for a new car. The heat is inadequate at the floor so if you live in a cold climate and own this car expect cold feet. Stereo is lame; but again its an inexpensive car.

  • Great Value / Solid Buy - 2005 Honda Civic

This is not the first Honda we have owned. With Acuras and Hondas in the past this model lives up to the best our Hondas reputation. While slightly underpowered, a fair amount of road noise and seats that could go abit further back as the negatives still the positives overwhelm. Price, features, MPG, realibility cannot be beat.

  • A car for peace of mind - 2005 Honda Civic

First Im cost concience and I dont like supplying the middle east oil with my hard earned money. I appreciate my 2005 Honda Civic hybrid for room, comfort, handling, a good safety rating, and especially excellent fuel economy. I bought this vehicle, not only for the above reasons but also to help out our environment being a clean car. I wish everyone was concerned as much as I am on this matter. The price of this vehicle is a little more than I really wanted to pay for a vehicle but if you want something that really contains all the reasons for buying then Its worth it.

  • Fantastic Car to Own - 2005 Honda Civic

I made the change from an SUV guzzling gas to the Honda Civic and Im proud to say this is one of the best cars Ive ever owned. Very roomy as well! Im 64, this is the first car Ive owned that I have to actually move the drivers seat up to reach the peddles and steering wheel. Not to mention, Ive more than doubled my gas mileage. Rides great, looks great and you cant beat the dependability. I highly recommend this car for anyone looking to save money and not sacrifice quality. I cant say enough about owning this car. What can I say, I no longer feel sorry for those of you who drive SUVs!!! I made the change, so should you, you will wonder why youve dropped so much money!

  • Bye, Bye SUV - 2005 Honda Civic
    By -

I was late to get in on the SUV craze and loved my 2004 Mazda Tribute. But 21 mpg and rising gas prices changed my mind. My payments stayed the same but my mileage more than doubled with the Civic Hybrid. I have had no maintenance problems at all, just routine service. I love the tax breaks and driving over 525 miles on a 12 gallon tank of gas. The ride is smooth and steady, and it takes a while to get used to the engine stopping when you come to a halt. Now it doesnt have the asphalt melting burnout torque, but buying gas only once every 3 weeks more than makes up for it. Yes there are times when I still miss the Tribute, but for now Im very pleased with my choice of a hybrid car.
