  • Honda: Ask the Person who Owns One! - 2003 Honda Civic

This is my second Honda Civic. My last one was a 91 with 145,000 miles that I gave to my niece. This car is bigger than my old one, with more zip. Gas mileage is very good for a car thats not broken in yet (31 combined). I love the styling. Only thing that concerns me is the sheet metal seems thinner than on my old one. Ive already had to have a dink taken out of the door.

The Civic 2003 a great little car. It has a nice little zip to it. The car is easy to drive in and out of traffic. It is a fun car to drive. The fuel economy is easy on the wallet.

Many have likely overlooked the Civic Si, what with the SVT Focus, Mini Cooper S, Mazdaspeed Protege and the like. Mistake! It has all the typical Honda niceties, such as terrific build quality, great instrumentation, superb materials and a sweet shifter. More than these, though, the Si has torque, seats, space, a nice stereo, a great steering wheel, and you dont see them all over. The torque is a welcome upgrade from my old Miata - at 60 MPH on the highway in 5th you can just accelerate. In the Miata, dropping down to 4th was a must, if not 3rd! And the engine is so smooth that it must be felt to be believed.

Plenty of pickup. Gas mileage averages about 45 mpg. Keeps up with all the highway traffic. Looks like a regular car, not pudgy like Toyota Prius. I have beat Prius models in high country climbs.

We thought a "green" car would be like driving a golf cart. Honda has really impressed us. The car has plenty of pep, is quiet and handles well. Good sound system with CD player standard. Plenty of trunk space, and no, you dont have to plug it in. Were averaging 45 mpg! We regret that Honda did not have a better selection of colors (only white, blue and silver) because if they had better alternatives, we would have bought two cars!

  • Very nice, fun and comfortable - 2003 Honda Civic

I had a great buying experience with this car, and Edmunds TMV helped out too. I ended up paying Less than TMV. This car has been a blast to drive, even while still breaking in the engine. Ive had nothing but positive comments from friends and family. The only thing Ive noticed about this car so far is how the electric assist steering feels different, but its easy to get used to. I would highly recommend this car to someone who enjoys having a small peppy car. Its no drag racer, but its certainly quite fun to drive.

I love my new Honda Civic. Although Im a bit biased because my previous car was a 98 Civic. Affordable, economical, and fairly fun to drive. Im actually near my EPA rates MPG.

I own the "cvt" or automatic version of the Hybrid. Its very quiet except for road noise. Friends have been impressed and geeked out by the "click-start" and the semi-digital,indigo dash (especially the battery meters). I average 42MPG. Excellent sound system and room for adding power points.

  • Quick and tight, but needs refinement - 2003 Honda Civic

I bought my 01 Civic EX sedan 20 months ago and it is my daily driver. It took some getting used to, coming from a car with almost 100 more horsepower, but it is a very spirited little car. Its got great road feel and a great suspension. Interior design is sofisticated, but the exterior, specifically the rear view, needs some work. Seats are adequate, but dont plan on taking this car on long trips. The stereo is above average for factory. The Automatic transmission is sloppy, especially going into second.
