Overview & Reviews
In typical Honda fashion, the Civic receives a number of minor changes this year in order to keep it fresh. For the coupe and sedan, there's new exterior styling, including restyling for the front and rear bumpers, hood, headlights and grille. Inside, the audio speakers have been upgraded, extra sound deadening material has been added and floor mats are now standard in the LX and EX. The LX trim has slightly bigger wheels this year (15 inches) and standard keyless entry. A new value package contains air conditioning, a CD player and a new center console. For the Si hatchback, there are new headlight and taillight designs, larger 16-inch wheels and flashier interior trim. Like the regular sedan, the Civic Hybrid has updated styling, standard floor mats and improved speakers. It also has a new interior console with an armrest, adjustable rear headrests and a manual driver-seat height adjuster. Finally, all 2004 Honda Civic sedans and coupes have a new seatbelt reminder system.
- Fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly engines, roomy interior, reputation for durability and quality, impressive crash test scores.
- Top-of-the-line models are pricey, antilock brakes not available on DX or LX.

Civic - 2004 Honda Civic
By Zidarr - December 19 - 2:00 amThis car is fun to drive and in spite of it being a 4 cylinder car with low HP it feels like a higher powered car. Its swift and very responsive.

2004 Civic Hybrid a winner!!! - 2004 Honda Civic
By SierraMadre Hybrid - November 18 - 10:00 amThe civic hybrid looks and runs like a normal civic. Pros and Cons are that other drivers dont know youre driving a hybrid. The performance and the dollars savings on fuel is worth a serious look at this environmentally friendly real vehicle.

Civic Hybrid review - 2004 Honda Civic
By RNovick - November 18 - 10:00 amThis is a fun car to drive. It sacrifices little in performance for a dramatic 500 miles before refueling. It can cruise at 80+ mph with power to accelerate. Engine is very quiet.

Honda civic more expensive, but saves - 2004 Honda Civic
By CIVIC GURU - September 30 - 2:00 amYou get what you pay for rings true with the Civic! Sure you will pay $2K more for this car over comparable sedans. But you get a car that can easily go 200K miles without any major repairs just regular maitenence. You have a car that buyers will fight for when you are ready to sell it. High resale, no costly and timely repair bills. Much better quality. Plus those autos offering those huge 100K mile warranties. Guess what, the seldom honor them anyhow! Been there, done that too! I have owned Honda Civcs for 18 years, never had any major problems with any of them. My last one was 7 years old had 227,000 miles on it, and it sold for $2900.

Bang for the Buck - 2004 Honda Civic
By kingkaxx81 - September 30 - 2:00 amTalk about a getting the best deal! I locked in a deal $400 above invoice with 2.9% financing and with Edmunds help, negotiated away all the fluff such as extended warranty. This is by no means a performance car at 115 hp but it really is fun to drive. I had a 97 Volkswagen Jetta before that really cost me a lot of maintenance fees. This Civic should last a lifetime and if I ever want to sell it, I know I will get a good value.

Now Im a believer!! - 2004 Honda Civic
By Adam - September 19 - 12:39 amI have always heard about hondas, but I was a big 3 guy. After hearing horror story after horror story on the big three. I wasnt impressed anymore either too many sensor issues, drivetrain problems. On new vehicles. So I decided to get a honda civic for my 80 mile commute back and forth to work. The guy that sold it to me put in a newer engine bc the previous one had blown. Even then their were some things that I had to fix. After investing 360 dollars and one weekend I have the car that is dependable and from what I found very easy to work on.
