Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

  • Very Good, Few Complaints - 2005 Honda Civic

My family for some reason has always been a Ford/ GM/Chrysler family, but my wifes family converted me to Honda. They truly are a superior car. In March 2005, we purchased a Civic LX-G (only available in Canada). It has been wonderful. My wife and I are 6 feet tall, and we can still fit rear-facing child seats behind each of our seats. It is very roomy for the kind of car it is. It is a little gutless, but for city driving it cannot be beat. Low monthly payments and low depreciation make this car an unbeatable value. There are a couple of slight rattles, one in the passenger side door and the other somewhere in the trunk. Beyond that, it continues to perform marvelously

Hondas new Civic blows away its competition. Ive been researching and test driving cars for a year and new withing 3 seconds of getting into the car that it was for me. Its just a SOLID car all around. Comfortable, reliable, safe, spacious, good gas mileage, good looking, will keep its value. I dont know why Id ever need a nicer car even though I will be richer in the future.

I must say, this is a really fun car. Lots of room and great styling. Though my Si is running about 230 hp, the stock trim is an excellent starting point.

I love my new Civic ex . I love how it drives and its responce time is great too. The only thing that bothers me is it is a little loud when its running. I also wish Hinda would come out with its new bug shield and vent visors to match the color. I also wish the sun roof popped up and opened like the neon does.

This vehicle has surpassed all my expectations, drove it from OH to COlorada last summer in Temps over 100 4 adults and averaged 48 MPG. Getting better than 50 mpg around OH. Corners great, and accelaration is good when needed. Excellent leg room for four adults. CVT transmission is great, never feel any shifting.

  • Fun and reliable - 2007 Honda Civic

I have just bought this car and have less than 200 miles so far on it and already this car has impressed me in so many ways. The Civic has such a sporty feel and yet its a very practical, quiet and comfortable ride. The reliabilty for Honda has always been high in standards and this one is certainly a keeper. The drive and the style is unsurpassable it doesnt do any justice just reviweing the car, it has to be driven to beleive what I mean by exactly. As soon as I test drove this car I knew in my mind that there was no reason to look at any other cars. The features that have been included are really cool and the accesories that can be added on just makes this vehicle flawless.

I absolutely love the new Honda Civic Hybrid. This Civic rides much better than by 2003 and is a reliable car. Never had a problem with it and I average about 43 miles to the gallon.

After shopping around thoroughly I have found that the civic is the best car for the money and even for more money.Sure, the VW Golf GL looks better, but the handling, manual transmission, lack of armrest, price and cost of insurance make it less desirable. Before taxes and tags I got the Civic EX manual for 14,500 which is almost a grand less than the golf. Despite Hondas inexcusably poor warranty in comparison to every other maker. Compared to the Sentra, Corrola, Echo, Lancer, and Focus the car drives better, has quicker pickup, is more comfortable, has a better sound system, and comes with a great engine.

  • Real good "little" car - 2003 Honda Civic

This car is only two weeks young at the time im writting this but the early feeling is this is a pretty solid compact car.It handles reel well and has more pep than i though it would have for a 4 cyl..My only complaints so far are drivers seat headroom the radio and road noise.Im 6 tall and with the seat adjusted all the way down my hair just touchs the headliner which is a little annoying so i have to recline the seat back a little more than i like. As far as the road noise is concerned a change of tires will probably take care of it. Last but not least the raido. Weak, weak, weak. If you like a sound system with balls this one will need an upgrade.

  • Hybrid Civic Kicks Amps - 2003 Honda Civic

Not a muscular car especially, but a true performer in all areas. My favorite is the handling, which made my choice easy over the opponent Prius. The electric variable-assist steering is exceptionally tight and exact, and the rest of the car follows it superbly with crisp handling, stiff chassis and just enough feel of the road; very comfortable seats and interior. Instrument panel is accessible but not distracting while driving, and gives lots of feedback if you wish to maximize fuel economy or minimize emissions. Bravo to Honda for not underestimating our ability to understand and apppreciate the technical details behind the dashboard gages!
